View Quote Or if the sanctions will be crippling, why wouldn’t they be motivated to try to grab the Baltic states? Sure, it would cause an Article 5 invocation, but it’s possible that they feel confident in success if they can bring it to a hasty conclusion. What would they need in order to accomplish that? Could their current deployments support such a play? They’ve moved a lot of Iskander batteries with full logistics trains toward the west for instance. Don’t forget that the idea of short war concessions cause the Japanese to miscalculate that one time. |
