They would be extremely useful for stopping Russian assaults dead in their tracks, suppressing objectives while Ukrainian armor advances, etc. Unfortunately, I doubt they're going to get them, almost exclusively due to political reasons. The Biden Administration likely doesn't want to send them due to UXO concerns, and if they did send them, I have no doubt that many on the right would jump at the opportunity to label Biden a baby killer. I really disagree. The dud rate aside, DPICM is a cluster of grenades that cover a wide area. Its excellent if you have a soft target, like a firing battery of artillery, and you want to drop a lot of grenades on them in one blast. Or alot of troops in the open. But thats the least of the Ukrainian's concerns. Its also excellent if you have an airplane going very fast and very low and see a large convoy of trucks or soft targets. Pickle off one canister and it covers a lot of area. But that's not really the situation the Ukrainians are in. I would assume that Russian artillery isn't responsive and the Ukrainians will stay buttoned up and mounted. The primary targets will be C2, ATGMs, and armor. The Ukrainaisn want to protect their queen, the tanks, and the biggest threats arent the sorts of things DPICM is good at killing. Those threats are point targets that will be dug in, and need a smart munition and a lot of HE on a single point, not a scattering of grenade-like munitions. As a contrary anecdote, there were reports that Ukraine had received a quantity of DPICM from Turkey a couple of months ago, and that was what a Ukrainian source credited with that two or three week run of circa 1000 KIA per day. ...and I see you completely missed my point. Three months ago, if a Russian Wagner rifle company is crossing open ground near Bakhmut, a large salvo of hand grenades in a wide area will work great. So will 155 prox, but no matter. What they need now is to destroy point targets with some cover. What worked then under that situation, fast moving troops in the open, is not what you need next month or whenever for that situation. They are totally diffferent. What they need for the offensive is very well coordinated ISR, drones providing precision fire on hard targets that are armored or dug in. Lethal radius of one 155mm shell, frag raidus 50 meters.... 1/2 pi R^2= 3750 square meters One DPICM shell, frag radius of a bomblet, 10 meters. 1/2 pi R^2=150 meters. 150x88 bomblets=13000 meters. Its an area weapon for soft targets in the open. That was then, this is now. Arguably, counterbattery work. That's it. |

Ukrainians aren’t putting up with corruption. I wish the US was like this.
Attached File Servant of the People MP relaxes abroad during war and drives new US$190,000 car https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2023/05/31/7404582/ Torokhtii's family have managed to replace their car three times since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. All the cars were purchased in the name of Torokhtii's wife, Alina Levchenko. The daughter of football coach Vitalii Levchenko, she has been an assistant to MP Serhii Kaplin and an adviser to former Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian. In July 2022, Alina Levchenko sold her Range Rover Sport for about US$76,000, and in the same month, she became the owner of a 2020 Mercedes-Benz G400. These SUVs cost at least US$158,800 on the used-car market. In December 2022, Levchenko replaced her Mercedes with a new Range Rover. According to Torokhtii, the couple pre-ordered the car in 2021, and the SUV was delivered late because of the full-scale war. Cars similar to Levchenko's Range Rover currently sell for US$185,000. In March 2023, the Range Rover was "exchanged" for a 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 electric car. Judging by the car's two-tone colour, this is a special edition of the EQS 580 – Edition One. A new one can be found on sale for US$197,851, and in March, the EQS 580 Edition One was sold for US$185,000. The journalists have evidence of Torokhtii himself using Levchenko’s car. |

https://www.newsweek.com/russia-ukraine-biden-atacms-missile-1803298 Retired Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, the former commanding general of United States Army Europe, is among the military figures who have repeatedly called for Washington to provide Kyiv with all the weapons it needs, in particular long-range systems to enable it to retake Crimea which Moscow seized in 2014. He told Newsweek on Tuesday that he believed the Biden administration will "eventually" provide ATACMS to Ukraine."It's just maddening and needlessly prolongs this war when we are so slow and incremental," he said. View Quote Hodges said that the Biden administration showed a "continued reluctance" to provide long-range precision weapons which was "the result of its reluctance or inability to clearly define the strategic outcome it seeks and its unwillingness to say it wants Ukraine to win." "This has led to slow, incremental decision-making that only helps the Russians because the Kremlin knows that the (Biden) administration will continue to self-deter out of concern over possible Russian nuclear escalation." According to the Russians, the ship was sunk while moored in Odessa. The Odessa naval base is located close to the center of the city and is clearly visible from a street with multiple businesses and apartment buildings elevated about 30 meters above it. No info about the alleged ship sinking in UA media means it never happened, it's not something you can hide. |

The international intelligence community InformNapalm expresses its "strict gratitude" to the Russian ballerina-corrector Anastasia Volochkova, who lives at the address: Moscow region, village Nikolo-Uryupino, str. Akademika Zusyk, bldg. 15, who found an opportunity to convey the information that she heard the explosions of drones in the morning, and that there is a military unit nearby. Thanks to these data, we established that Volochkova's house is located 1.5 km from the Russian military unit 11105-2 (engineering battalion, archive), which is located at the address: Moscow Region, Inzhenerny-1.
Volochkova once again showed that she knows how to "sit on the splits". 🔥 Support IN | Pages | @informnapalm ETA- Not sure where this lands on the current “BOTD” spectrum. Click To View Spoiler Today, The Moscow Times, citing its own anonymous sources in the Kremlin, reported that on May 30, when unidentified drones attacked military facilities in the Moscow region, Putin was in the Novo-Ogarevo residence and almost got hit. The newspaper claims that Putin's security service even woke him up earlier than usual and informed him about the drone strike. If you compare this information with the geolocation of Volochkova's video, which was made by the international intelligence community InformNapalm, it turns out that some drones were shot down even closer than 10 km from Putin's residence. From Russian military unit 11105-2, over which the drones exploded, to Putin's residence is only 6 km. They didn't make it quite a bit... We add a map for clarity. Click To View Spoiler In anticipation of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder and purser of "PVK Wagner", drove very far from Bakhmut, near which he filmed his videos until recently. According to the Russian mass media, Prigozhin is currently "on a working visit" in the city of Vladivostok, which is 9,000 km from Bakhmut and the borders of Ukraine. Obviously, Prigozhin believes in the Armed Forces and the success of the future Ukrainian counteroffensive. @informnapalm Click To View Spoiler |
