Girkin said that as a result of the arrival of the Russian world in the Donbass in 2014, famine began there. And many pensioners were dying in their apartments from lack of food and medicine.

Under "fascist Ukraine" no one died of hunger, but then Russia decided to "save the Donbass" and it began ...

I agree, basically during a real fight the missile, drone, and aircraft kills are going to be spread out among the various air defense systems.  We have images of Gepards with multiple Shahed kills, as well as a few cruise missiles.  So at some point, the cost has been absorbed by one system using cheaper methods of destruction which allows a bigger system to use it's expensive missile on a cheap enemy system to help protect something that was vital to save.

tldr, it's all tends to even out in the end.

I think you have summed it up well. My theory is that Xiden wants this war to go slow and steady without any quick UA victory and keeps Zelensky on the hook and dependent on HIM so he doesnt complain or bring up Biden Hunter and DNC shenanigans in Ukraine. Zelensky ran on an anti-corruption platform and Biden was even named as a suspect in a corruption probe. Had Trump been re-elected, I think a LOT of dirt would have come out. All of that disappeared and the Bidens need to keep a lid on it. "Z...dont bite the hand that feeds you, even a little aid is better than none"

True. I dont see Ukraine taking Crimea head on. Too costly. Both the Germans then the Soviets had a hard time taking Crimea in WWII. I can see a sustained bombing campaign though making life miserable for the occupiers and civilians would flee effectively making Crimea worthless to Russia. In the end I think Crimea will be decided through negotiations.

I was curious if any other neutralish countries news organizations are saying the same thing.

Apparently reading the Swiss setups, they are also saying the same thing as the Hungarian news orgs.

My feelings is that during the NATO summit, something is going to happen.

Before all of this, it was a neutralish bullshit saying ohh Ukraine gained ..Orcs are stronger and canned sunshine is close.

Now it's all Ukraine strong ..Ape 💪 United...blah blah blah.

Guy from the mine leg amputation video.

‼️ Everyone remembers this video...

The hero's name is Oleg Horpinyak. Judging by his Facebook profile, he was born in Donetsk, lived in Mariupol.

He worked as an SMM officer, in November 2022 he volunteered in the newly created 🐉 47th "Magura" brigade.

This is how Oleg remembers that day:

"We were on our way to the Bradley to evacuate the wounded. There were three of us, and I had a large medical backpack.

I showed the two medics where the tourniquets and the hemostatic bandage were.

Then I started watching the monitor to get a rough idea of the terrain.

I noticed that my friends were visibly nervous. It was obvious that I would go first.

So we stopped. I took the stretcher out of my backpack and waited for the ramp to open.

It seemed to me that an eternity had passed... The moment of truth had come. The ramp opened. I got out and stood on the gangway.

I saw that one of my wounded comrades was lying to my left.

I thought that I should get closer to him and noticed a tear from the explosion, jumped into the funnel and landed, but my right leg could not withstand the weight of the armor and the soil...

They certainly can.

https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/3-21-94/appf.htm

The Javelin can destroy targets from medium ranges (65 to 2,000 meters), including helicopters and fortified positions. The platoon leader also can use the Javelin's imaging infrared (I2R) sight capability to conduct surveillance of critical avenues of approach in all types of weather. The Javelin also may be used to engage bunkers, buildings, and other fortified targets commonly found during combat in built-up areas.

F-10. SELF-DEFENSE AGAINST HELICOPTERS
Because Javelin positions are selected to cover enemy armor avenues of approach, the medium-range fields of fire afforded by these positions also enable Javelin gunners to engage aircraft.

a.   Weapons Control Status. The weapons control status established for air defense weapons applies to Javelin gunners, too. Unless ordered otherwise, gunners should fire in unit self-defense only; for example, only engage aircraft that are attacking friendly positions.

b.   Self-Defense Engagements. A Javelin gunner can automatically engage an enemy helicopter that is attacking its position. The gunner's target engagement sequence is the same as against ground targets. The Javelin should be in the direct-attack mode when engaging helicopters. The rotors of the helicopter may interfere with the sensors of the missile in the top-attack mode and result in erratic flight of the missile and a target miss.

In the modern era of long range missiles, constant sat surveillance, and suicide drones (air and boat); ship losses would be completely unsustainable for Russia even if enough got through initially to maintain supply of Crimea. Not to mention anything actually docking in Crimea would be in range and a sitting duck in that scenario.
