Since at least the year 2000 OPEC has been trying to figure out a way to get away from the US dollar and use another currency. In 2019 OPEC threatened the US with selling oil in other currencies if they passed legislation that would expose them to anti-trust lawsuits. I'm not saying it is likely to happen but all the ingredients are there especially if Biden puts sanctions on India and China for staying out of the conflict. |
