View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Well in my defense, they made it sound like a weird version of the 123A battery. I've got like a 50-round pack of Streamlight batteries in that. Thank you for info on AA's. I just want to take care of my stuff. I still recall a handheld video poker game I had for long car rides as a child.... I found it months later with corrosion leaking out of cheap batteries into the game system.. I would be despondent if that happened to $4,000 NOD's.. Thats why you store all expensive stuff like that with batteries off. Also so it doesnt accidentally turn on in storage So is it lithium batteries I want, or lithium ion? Not sure of difference. Lithium ion are rechargeable. |

I reversed the shoe on the mh25 so the picture is horizontal vs vertical. And put a PVS14 eyepiece on it. Kvc bridge. Oss shoe set. I use an external battery pack for the mh25. It eats 123s. Turn off the auto nuc. I also turn on the PIP and compass. And I don’t use it in helmet mode. I don’t get headaches. Best way I can explain it is your brain will shut off one eye and look through the other. So it’s not like you are looking through both. It’s more like you are using one at a time. |

Quoted: I bought the KAC riser for NV passive shooting and for the BUIS, but after looking at it for a while I realized maybe you can mount the Skeet in clip on mode https://i2.wp.com/tnvc.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/products-skyscraper_sl1.jpg?fit=1024%2C681&ssl=1 If you reverse the T2 on the KAC and reverse the entire KAC mount there is enough room for the Wilcox weapon mount in the rail space where the magnifier normally would go, and just enough room for the Skeet to lock in place there. I don't like having any optics straddling the front rail in general but in this case it gives me room to add the magnifier for bench shooting and testing POI with the Skeet This whole setup seems like it's coming along really well https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/73202/20200605_185648-1448789.jpg https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/73202/20200605_185701-1449495.jpg https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/73202/20200606_130703-1449497.jpg View Quote have you had a chance to test it? |

Quoted: Most gen1 will be garbage unless its a triple cascade rifle scope. You can get into some older gen2 units in your price range on ebay. Quality varies widely. And many are not easily head mountable, though some are. Do your homework. Until a few years ago I was routinely buying older gen2 and gen3 units in that price range. Its likely not going to the best of the best, but for most things Gen2 is fine IMO. If its really dark you turn on the illuminator. This seems to be the place to ask, so.....
Being a firm believer in making due with what you have. What I have is $2500 burning a whole in my pocket. Can I get a dual beam+ illuminator and a monocal for the money? Complete newb to anything NV/IR related. Thanks for any suggestions. |

Suddenly reloading without being able to see your hands clearly is a skill. Wtf NV, its like learning to shoot all over again. |
