Last year was the year of the backup QB.
If the trend continues again this year I wonder if there will be a correction (or at least slowing down) of paying a single QB majority of the teams cap space. Maybe a bad take but it's something to think about. |

The only thing I’d add is the field conditions appeared to influence that Eagles defender going to the ground in the first place. For some reason my gut says he’ll be out ~4 weeks but obviously there is the chance it’s a season ender which would be a shame. |

That seems important, I feel like you can’t be pissed about high/low if your QB appears to be getting ready to scramble up the middle. I never thought they should have been flagged. |

Here's a video rather than a still photo for more context. Love is trying to get away and Carter tries wrapping him up from the ground. I don't understand what would warrant a flag. Unfortunate, hope he's not out long. |

The ownership loves it as it will increase valuations and ultimately allow then to sell minority stakes to private equity (like other international sports). Standing his ground on this is the right choice, and that's before considering the Jets play in Met Life Stadium. |

Losing millions in fines and salary is hard to relate to with that kind of stubborness. Could have easily done a hold in. Sounds like all they wanted was for him to show up first to start negotiating. |
