Honestly, at this point I didn't think a deal was getting done. I am glad Dak is going to remain, a little pissed Jerry overpaid, again. Had he signed him last year, I bet it would have been no more than 50 a year. Thats depth. Thats being able to be more competitive than another team for either a free agent, or maybe being able to keep another player happy.
IMO there isn't a ton of difference between a good team and an elite, SB contender. Maybe it will be a matter of having an extra $10 million in cap space? |

You know it’s a fun news day when Justin Fields gets named the starter for Pittsburgh and nobody here notices.
Caribou is about to have himself a day. |

Parsons agent is David Mulugheta (sp?) and he has been on a tear fleecing GMs. I don't think the Parsons deal is going to be easy for them. |

Maybe we're missing out on another Brock Purdy somewhere, but he was always good enough to keep us from a top-5 draft pick. Sure Mahomes, Burroughs, Allen and one or two others may be better, but their teams aren't going to trade them to us. |

View Quote I am happy they resigned Dak, but had they handled it a little differently, earlier, could have probably saved some cap space. The market price of top 5 players seems to be increasing faster than the salary cap increases. Signing earlier is always better. But no, that's not how Jerry runs his team. |

GB can and should have let him play another season to prove himself more, even if this increased his price tag a bit. That cost would be worth knowing he’s real. But I think this deal could be worse. Giving Dak $60M APY, $5M more than the next closest guy, when he’s in his 30s and never escaped the divisional round is pretty crazy. At some point, he’s not worth it anymore, and Jerry drove by that point with the cruise control set and the radio up. |

I’ve yet to get a reasonable answer. |

CJ Stroud slipped and fell down on back-to-back plays.
The game is not being played in Brazil. |

The Saints are up 10-0 over the Panthers.

Originally Posted By Requiem: I see stuff like 2.5 -3.5 or whatever next to names. What does that mean in a betting situation? View Quote @Requiem That is the point spread. -3.5 is supposedly an even bet for that team to win by 4 points. If you take that bet, they have to win by four. If you bet for the other team (which would show +3.5), they could lose by 3 and you still win the bet. Shitty team playing a good team will get a lot more points, pretty equal teams the number will be lower. "Money line" is just betting on the winner with no point spread. |
