I've only missed One Launch, each one still 'excites' me, and The BOOSTER LANDING!
I'll bore you with my 'usual'.....Response..... Born in 1960, Blessed\Cursed with total memory recall since age 2. Followed the Space Program with my Dad, he worked at B&W 'Special Metals Division', made 'some parts'.... Led me to a great career in heavy Industrial Electronics, CNC Machines, Huge ones, Robotics, Process Control of Heat Treating and .mil ISO certification, open die die forging, heat treating and final machining of 'parts' up to 200,000 POUNDS industry. And, sole MFG. of Every Penetrator Bomb. Loved working with the .gov guys and gals. Wife still works there, not long ago an 'Elon Team' went through, 'can you make 'X' for us? I retired early, still tele-work and visit due to 'kids' not know how to repair 1980's Era CNC machines (stash of back up OS 'punch tapes'. Guess I can check out anytime I like, but I can never leave! But employer was Very Good To Me, or would not have spent nearly 40 years there. Asked her what they were making, 'Can't say, had to sign an NDA'. |

Had battery issues and put brand new ones in the camera before I left the house.
Went to the Jetty Park boat launch and this is all I got , camera wouldn't start up, and when it did it crapped out 19 seconds later. Looking for another camera tomorrow. But I digress, I did get some video. Downloaded on my computer and can't seem to upload . DAMN !!! Posted it on Youtube, nothing spectacular but I did get out to the Port to watch it. |

I applaud SpaceX for delaying these two recent launches if something seems incorrect. In the flying world...primarily general aviation...there is a term...Get-there-itis that has pilots making a flight under questionable conditions that leads to a crash and often fatalities. In a rush to make some event, they end up dead and miss the event anyway.
While Falcon 9 may be a mature launch system, the reuse of the first stage is a trail blazing situation with potentially catastrophic failures yet to be discovered. If something seems out of norm with either the reused first stage or a new second stage. it is better to wait, evaluate and take corrective action if needed to maximize the end result of a successful launch. |

Sweet, I'll be driving tomorrow, but I'll be staying right on the coast in North Carolina on Monday. Any chance I'll be able to see it? Haven't seen a trajectory posted.
