I guess I'm going to be hotspotting for a while more. |

Hoping fiber makes it sooner than that because honestly I don't want to mess with a sat system, no matter how robust it is. Too many variables. |

I wonder if the delays are caused by ground station, user hardware, or satellite delays.

Mid 22, was supposed to be late 21. Signed up like 3-4 months ago.

Yeah. Don’t like to complain but damn. Went from mid to late 2021 to late 2022 today. Fuuuhhhh.
Hoping there is a marine mobile option that becomes available sooner. Trying to sail the world and it sure would make life easier not having to plan trips around our internet needs. |

Weeks ago I assumed that people signed up since early this year would not be delayed. I was wrong.
It would be nice to fully understand where the system limitations exist that slow adding new users. |
|
|
Mine was still saying Mid/Late 2021 up until this week, I checked it after their email today and now it says March 2022. Hopefully the electric coop here will get me on their new fiber optic connection before then. The damn line is on my property but they won't hook me up right now because they are only doing customers that have their electric service which doesn't start until a few properties past mine.

While I now have starlink, I also was on the beta list in line since 2019.... so I was as frustrated, if not more than you guys a few months ago. If they're already shipping Dishy 2.0's I think the delays are coming from elsewhere..... I bet permitting for ground stations is one of the main issues. I believe the starlink is performing better speed wise in Europe and is way outperforming the US speedtests. It's the same satellites, but the ground infrastructure is what's different. Also I know Starlink did delay a few launches due to upgrading satellites...for the laser crosslinks.... so I think all 3 have a roll in delays, but knowing how the Starship launches are going, permitting is their biggest delay.... yeah government. |

Ordered Feb 23, 2021. Now says "Starlink expects to expand service in your area in February 2022." Does not say my equipment is expected to ship Feb 2022, though.

We've only been able to check ours from ground level, but I think that if/when we get it up on the roof it'll clear the trees.

I have been waiting since February when I put in my deposit. When I ordered I had an expected date of mid to late 2021, it was supposed to be first come first serve. I see people all over the globe ordering and getting dishies lower latitudes than me and now I get some lame excuse about silicon shortages and now get a date of March 2022! I am a huge Elon fan but I am almost of a mind to cancel and just stick with my crappy 2Mb line of sight.
