I've been signed up since February 2021, was targeted for mid-late 2021. Now it says March 2022.
I guess I'm going to be hotspotting for a while more.

Same. Rcv'd an email from SL today and it shows mid 2022 in the my account section. Hoping fiber makes it sooner than that because honestly I don't want to mess with a sat system, no matter how robust it is. Too many variables.

Was mid-21 now bumped to March 2022.  That seems pretty specific, so hopefully that means something.

You realize this is an order of magnitude better than old dial up modems of 56K (and you never got that much anyway)

You have three Megabits per second, not 24Kb

I just got this same e-mail as I read this.

Now it says "Starlink expects to expand service in your area by mid 2022."

Ordered March 9, 2021.

Yeah.  Don’t like to complain but damn. Went from mid to late 2021 to late 2022 today. Fuuuhhhh.

Hoping there is a marine mobile option that becomes available sooner.  Trying to sail the world and it sure would make life easier not having to plan trips around our internet needs.

Weeks ago I assumed that people signed up since early this year would not be delayed.   I was wrong.

It would be nice to fully understand where the system limitations exist that slow adding new users.

Mine was still saying Mid/Late 2021 up until this week, I checked it after their email today and now it says March 2022. Hopefully the electric coop here will get me on their new fiber optic connection before then. The damn line is on my property but they won't hook me up right now because they are only doing customers that have their electric service which doesn't start until a few properties past mine.

Other countries probably don't have to ship their goods through California either.

Service to you may have ZERO to do with providing service to others thousands of miles away.  It may just be a capacity issue in your local area.   Or maybe equipment kits really are impacted by supply shortages.

I refunded back in July and just signed up again and that is what I got. I feel the deposit system was just a nice interest free loan to the wealthiest man. Should have been more clear up front to people who have had their deposits in since February. Especially those pushed to late 2022/2023. Regardless Internet options remain few for those like me, at least I have access to terrible cable and not Hughes net.

Which direction do you need to look?

Generally North, but you can put the Starlink app on your phone and see exactly what you need at your location.

"You need a wide swath of open sky  Starlink suggests a cone of about 100 degrees, with a minimum elevation of 25 degrees above the horizon. So: low and wide. The app will tell you where and how the view to the satellite is obstructed, by how much, and how many hours a day it will affect your signal.May 14, 2021"

I have been waiting since February when I put in my deposit.  When I ordered I had an expected date of mid to late 2021, it was supposed to be first come first serve.  I see people all over the globe ordering and getting dishies lower latitudes than me and now I get some lame excuse about silicon shortages and now get a date of March 2022!  I am a huge Elon fan but I am almost of a mind to cancel and just stick with my crappy 2Mb line of sight.
