I give this entire season 5 out of 5 yawns. Everything that happened could be summarized in about 2 episodes. The last few episodes were camera shots close up of various characters (who aren't in an episode for 3 or 4 weeks so we forget who they are) not saying anything but reflecting upon their choices so far.
The writers of this season sucked. Not sure if any of them changed. I'm not sure I'll be back next season. |

I hoped to see Newgene get popped first to start the war. I expected to see Rick or Coral waste him. But then the Sheman the Barbarian woman ruined it.
This season was boring. Neegan is a great asshole though. |

And the funny part to me about those of you who hate it but still watch every week is that (for the most part, depending on where/how you watch) you count as much as I do toward their ratings.

Eugenes answer to Negan on how Sasha died was stupid because it's something he should have known putting her in there. He just should have said poison she must have brought with her. She knew it was a one way trip and it was her last move in the game. Something like that.

seriously--that was the worst '80s action sequence cliche i've seen since the actual '80s. as in, it's hard to believe it wasn't self parody. more than one person actually thought that that sequence was not going to be worthy of ridicule. and they got paid for it. |

What an astounding lack of tactics on everyones part. Amazes me there are zero military vets left alive in this part of the country.
Curious, are they proposing the Hilltop and Kingdom forces met up prior to attacking, or that all these people that dont know each other just showed up simultaneously and managed to not shoot each other? How did they get in without anyone seeing them, and this tiger until it was on top of Negan? The only answer newgene should have given was "without a body to examine its hard to say" Sights are for suckers. I'm watching it for the stupidity of it all now.

I almost expected to hear Rick scream YO JOE! as he opened up with that AK... and I also expected to see Zartan, I mean, JYR leader tell the Dreadnoks to run for it... and Savior Commander to scream at Major Dwightt to RETREAT! while shaking his fist at the Joes screaming "I'll get you next time Joessssssssssss!" as they booked it out in a Hiss tank that magically couldn't be hit by any gunfire. Then afterwards the "face" wounded are shown to be ok in the hospital, and Saviors Commander consults with Doctor Genebender on how their crazy plan fell apart. |
