Remember though, it must be built from a virgin receiver. If it starts life as a rifle, it's always a rifle regardless of removing the stock. Same goes for shotguns.  As long as it's transferred properly (as "other") there's no way for them to actually prove it was built as a rifle first though.

Yep. An AR pistol with a rifled barrel is treated no differently than a Glock as far as federal law. State laws are another issue and the differences are numerous, so I can't speak for what's legal in any state besides my own.

Concerning the Lettering, yes that “style” has been around, but a style of lettering is different form a computer font someone worked on. The previously selected font used in your example has a copyright from 1991 and 2001, and is reserved. We cannot use that font, but, what I used for the serial and title should be close enough and probably OK. None of those fonts will work for the selector markings however, the letter type is too small (about a 7-8 font height when cut). I used a similar but solid font like in previous illustrations to fit that need. May still need to reduce the lettering, not sure.

Also, I fixed the lowers list.

You'll likely be waiting longer than that.

It's not been selected for production, and unless there is a lot of interest, it won't be.

Negative, designs added to the "CONSIDERATION" list, have NOT been selected for production. PSA would need to actually select that design before it moved to the APPROVED list, then it would be placed in line for manufacturing.  I try and work up designs of all sorts, be it from forum members, outside suggestions, or just stuff I think up. I do this for illustration purposes to best represent that idea to our forum members and to PSA. But it does not mean every design I illustrate will get made. PSA has the final say in anything selected.

The design, markings, and often title/ serial can change at PSA's discretion. Josiah does a good job of keeping us in the loop as best as possible. But any lower selected will depend on actual sales projection viability. Just about every lower offered has eventually sold out, but some designs do much better than others. With PSA ramping up production, I could see them getting a little more selective (this is not verified, just my thoughts). The long game is to focus on maintaining strong interest, so new designs continue to populate.

Edited- Cause dangit, beat by Sputnik with a shorter response. Blunt, but quicker.

Hey BrickWurx! If you aren't too busy and it isn't too much trouble, could we get a version of the VA lower with "Virtue-15" instead of "Virginia-15", and with "VA" as the serial prefix?

Thanks boss! You're the best

the stores do. i dont think the online will.

the stores will not price match daily deals though.  so there is that.. or anything that requires a "discount code" at checkout.

Also does anyone know how the “unconfirmed” list works? I haven’t been around long enough to see one go from there to “confirmed”. Does it go top down or does PSA pin one based on demand?

If the latter I’d be willing to make a poll list for lowers. I’ve got a lot of downtime at work

When Josiah and his brother decide one looks like a good seller he will pop in here and announce that it's the newest approved lower.  To be honest though, I doubt they're paying a whole lot of attention to that list here lately because there are so many which have already been approved still waiting to be produced.  As soon as one makes the approved list, someone will start pissing and moaning about "When's it going to get made?  I've been waiting three days already!" so I doubt they're very worried about adding new stuff to the list right now.  At least I sure wouldn't if I were in their shoes.

I hear that the list currently has about 20 or so to be produced. Just had a thought that making a poll for the unconfirmed for people to vote on may help PSA gauge which ones would be in-demand.

I'm hoping they jump the line with the M16A2 lower. Aero makes an M16A1 lower, but I'd much rather have an A2 marked.

I dunno, PM Josiah and see if he has any interest in you doing that for them.  I know you have no interest in going back to read all 499 pages but there have been occasions where he popped in here and just asked if we would buy something if they were to produce it, and then there have been times when we kicked an idea around, Brickwurx put together an image and it was just so incredibly cool that PSA couldn't not make it.

And to be perfectly honest, I suspect this whole limited edition lower shenanigans blew up to a level that no one at PSA ever saw coming, and I wouldn't doubt that it made them seriously re-evaluate their production capabilities.  I'd be surprised if they didn't have to add a few lines and buy some additional machines just to keep up with the insane demand that a bunch of dorks like us created.  It's been good for their business I have no doubt, and it's been great for us as well.  We all owe Josiah and his brother a huge Thanks! for being willing to ever start this insanity in the first place.

That's the honest truth.

One problem with a pole is that it can't be updated with new items. So as soon as you start a pole it will be out of date after the next one is confirmed.

Maybe start a pole using an external site and link it? Survey monkey or something?

apparetnly they have started shipping, but i dont know about the flow being stpped.

i did always think that local/ in store pickups should get first picks from production since its literlally right there.  but what do i konw, im sure there is a good reason for thei rmadness!

Just from what I've been able to ascertain from reading the thread (and knowing a little about how production works) this stuff is made in batches, so when they receive a batch from production they'll fill as many orders as they can and then they'll wait until the next batch arrives.  I know several guys were talking about receiving tracking numbers for their Yeet Cannons while mine still showed "processing", and those guys already have theirs in hand while mine is sitting in a UPS terminal somewhere between Columbia and Alabama.

Look at it this way...  Other than quality control and inspection, I'd assume that annodizing is probably the last step these lowers go through before being ready to ship.  I'm sure their annodizing tank can only process a given number of lowers at any given time, so let's assume that number is 500, or maybe even 1000.  Would we want them to hold on to all of a given lower (Yeet Cannon) until every last one was finished an ready to ship, or would it be better to go ahead and send the finished ones to shipping so they can go ahead and get them processed and sent down the road?

I assume it has a lot to do with maintaining a chain of custody for the ATF, being that they're serial numbered and can obviously take down the International Space Station if allowed to get into the wrong hands. It's probably not as simple as throwing the new hire Cletus a box of lowers and asking him to run them over to the store on Main Street.  But yeah, if I lived next door to a PSA store and some jackwagon in Montana posted pics of his lower that he ordered the same day as me while I was still empty handed, I'd probably be a little bit less than thrilled.

Should have my yeet in hand this week. Woke up this morning and got a broken email link telling me something was back in stock. Took a chance and sure enough the 8 inch 9 upper was in stock, so it’s on the way now too lol.

So we hit page 500, we get the announcement for the PSA 50?

oh i dont think they had to buy more machines.. ib et they had pleanty on hand.  i bet in fact that they're ramping up to produce tons more asap with all the rhetoric going on in the news these days.

i think it would be best to ship them all once they are all done, not piece meal... as it causes more issues than it fixes.

it could be, who knows. i think it may have more to do with the hassle of seperating the lowers for local pickup than the chain of custody though.

im not going to build any of the meme lowers most likely.  may make a neat shadow box table or something for displaying them all though.
