A nice substantive rebuttal to the facts of my case: he doesn't know how tariffs work and the republican plan is to induce more inflation (like in the 50s) to shrink the debt to GDP ratio.

Oh, in terms of Silicon Valley he's taken money from Musk, Marc Adreeson, Ben Horowitz, David Sacks Chamath Palihapitiya, Jacob Helberg, the Winklevoss twins - I could go on, but I'm not getting the sense you have your finger on the pulse of who is who in SV. That's okay.

MAGA politics a personality cult now?

You sound kinda pissy. Maybe tone it down, dude. I listed substantive policy failures and you replied with a completely washed meme from "The Office."

I like how he complains about taking things out of context, while never mentioning I voted for Trump in 2016 and every Republican candidate before him since I was old enough to vote as he pulls out the guilt by association smears.

You won't feel bad if you don't vote for him...  So you're OK with 20+ Million Illegals, higher gas prices, another 20% inflation, mandatory gun buybacks, giving more money to Iran, and a very high percentage of another large scale war?  On the national level, we have been forced to pick between the lesser of 2 evils for quite a while.  This time the greater evil is pretty fucking evil.

The dancing will be epic. They will tell us he’s violating our rights and creating massive debt and inflation because he loves us.

Trump never does anything wrong. When it it too obvious for them to dance. They blame everyone else for manipulating the orange father. “He was ignorant”

I just hope the damage is not deep enough for the county to heal from. Trump and Biden done extensive damage. Some would say ruined the country.

Rand has no charisma. Dude would be a great president. Rand is a no non-sense kinda guy. He doesn’t do any dance. However no one is going to vote for a guy who reminds them of the local country club tennis pro.

They want people who say “bitch” and “Ass.” Call people pet names and has flair. Trump is shiny and flashy. Whaaaaaah look at me. I say words like Bitch and Ass! Whaaaaaahhh I’m just like you. Forget that I am filthy rich and  insulated from any and all policy I create that hurts the country and will always be rich and making loads of cash.

Can you logically explain the behavoir of posting endlessly negatively the same nonsense day in day out for years about Trump any other way?

Now we are days out from a very important election, and its still the same nonsense. Oh but, no no no we dont want Kamala to win. Heres a thousand posts about how bad Trump is and how hes not going to do anything good. Etc.

How would they have merit with no source or credit of who spoke them?

And how do you tie a specific statement on the internet to a certain person? Sometimes multiple people can say identical statements.

The statement for the most part has been repeated by other people.

The election will be over soon bud. We will then get to pick apart the failed Trump policies he puts in place and all the swamp he fails to drain.

The threads are going to be even better than these. I am braced for an absolute disaster of another 4 years of Trump.

I’m sure house will spin up impeachment hearings immediately. He will be sentenced to a jail term. Will he serve it? Not sure but I bet it will be big news on the forums and we will all be focused on that instead of the failing economy and stuff.

There will be some specials counsels to investigate him on some other bullshit. Costing us hundreds of millions of dollars.

Mexicans will still come in-in droves.

You guys will say “nuh uhh he’s killing pedos secretly in gtmo. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not true”

I will point my finger at you and laugh.

Totally agree

I don't think that's the case since he said he has never voted for Trump.

Or is he voting against Kamala and voting for Trump?

We’ll see what happens when trump fucks conservatives over again and the John burns cult types here are aggressively defending him again.  I’ll have my pop corn ready

And you’ll be just as happy when Harris fucks us even worse?

Here we go again with this shit lol.

Not a rational retort.    In the real world, we are faced with either Trump or Harris as the next president.  If you don’t get one , you will most certainly get the other.  Which one do you prefer?

You’re an expert on those

You ever wonder why we are faced with pieces of shit like trump and harris to vote for?  I’ll give you a hint… it has something to do with the quote liquid posted above and the intellectual scholars who reacted to it

Everything I’ve posted has been rational and well thought out. Unlike juvenile quips  and emojis you’ve put out so please don’t play that game.

I cannot answer for other posters so why even bring them up?  Are you not able to address an individual’s positions on their own merits?

Didn’t you post this gem? And you’ll be just as happy when Harris fucks us even worse?

Yes. And it’s a well thought out retort to your stated position.  Your position sets us up to be fucked even worse by Harris and you haven’t bothered to come back with an explanation.   Will you be happier with Harris? No it’s a retort based on your opinion/view that I think is small minded, preposterous and a waste of time.  It’s like me asking if you prefer sharp or dull rat turds.

I even worried about guns, then I discovered I could go in my garage and bend a AK flat or mill out a Glock or AR 80% lower.

And it didn't require me asking anyones permission. No need to cope as I have been doing what the fuck I want for a while.

Trump and Kamala are both city slicker globohomo liberal democrats.  It shouldn’t be hard to grasp the fact that some people don’t want to see either one of them near the White House.

There is no requirement that a quote be within quotation marks to be defined as a quote. You guys are just butthurt that you got mad (again) over something trump said without realizing he was the one who said it.

I think it was a legitimate question.  You always speak about ‘they & them’. Who exactly is the they and them’s you so often refer to?

100% legitimate.

Every day we hear “they” this, “they” that.

But we never are told who “they” is.

It’s a safe assumption he’s talking about the same people.

In his defense he’s certainly not the only one who uses it.

Define who “they” is.  Not a tough question, shouldn’t be tough to define at all.

It's really going to come down to whether or not Trump, somehow, managed to make a cult that will follow him off the edge of a cliff, or revealed that you can just outright lie and your base will just believe it anyways.

Trump convinced people that this massive amount of election fraud happened, because just trust me bro. He had a team of lawyers file lawsuits that were obviously nothingburgers, and when they get dismissed, use that as further evidence for the conspiracy - people ate it up. Like, just think about that; you have lawyers file a lawsuit that has an absolute 0% chance of going anywhere, and when it obviously gets dismissed you say it's just further proof of the fraud. What happens is that dudes who bought red hats say "Yes, that is reasonable." For all the conspiracies we get about how democrats stole the vote and how MSNBC is complicate in just knowingly fabricating lies, the idea of Trump doing exactly the same just never enters their mind.

If this is a byproduct of Trump specifically and no other politician can capture that energy? The country can probably heal, and then the work of dismantling some of the absolutely unhinged stuff the Democrats are doing can begin. If it turns out in a post Trump era people like Vance can still openly admit on national TV they will just make up lies for the news and people will shrug their shoulders and say I'd never vote for a Democrat? Then probably there is no coming back from that.

If nothing else it's entertaining. All the people spreading the Chimney Rock Lithium conspiracy theories saying it's Democrats or whatever is so funny because in their mind, Democrats mean Electric Cars. But the idea of the billionaire who owns the most successful electric car company supporting Trump spending tens of millions this election is spreading lies about FEMA aid that would put Americans in further financial aid and further desperation? Doesn't cross their mind. If a bunch of people get their bank accounts wiped out by the hurricane and need to take some sort of pay out or just sell their land and leave so there is less opposition to the lithium mine. Would the guy with the company that uses lithium benefit from that? If Musk's last name was Soros this would be a 70 page thread, but because it's Musk, it gets glossed over - because electric cars are communist.

Hopefully in a post Trump world we can get back to politics where the scandal of the week is the President choosing to wear a brown suit. I miss those days.

Blackstone CEO Schwarzman re-embraces Trump for 2024 elections

Remarks by President Trump in Strategy and Policy Forum

I see we have Larry here — where is Larry Fink?  Larry did a great job for me.  He managed a lot of my money, and, I have to tell you, he got me great returns last year.  (Laughter.)  And then they go crazy — they’ll meet very smart people that made money, why don’t you let other people to run the economy?  I said, no, we have to get the right people.  And the people that voted for me understand that, and that’s what they want.

So when I campaigned for office, I promised the American people that I’d ask for our country’s best and brightest, and we have that.  Wilbur is representing us as secretary.  I tell you, you’re going to be so great — Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross.  In fact, Carl Icahn got called up, and he goes, I hear you got Wilbur.

Everybody calls him Wilbur.  I’ve never heard him called — what, we just know him as Wilbur, right?  We’ve got the great Jack Welch, the legendary Jack Welch.  We appreciate him.

Totally agree about Rand Paul. He would make for an amazing president. Hopefully he takes another stab at running when the time is right.

What will be interesting to see is what Elon will get in return for his support.  If I were a betting man I’d say he will get the carbon tax he’s always wanted.

Maybe I'm optimistic, but I'm hopeful that we can heal from a place where half the country believes and trusts Trump more than their own family or even their church.

Maybe Trump just had a Day Zero exploit that will be patched out soon

Just at face value, he's asking for a position in government. He's straight up saying to make him part of Trump administration. Regardless of everything else, that is already the most transparently swamp behavior. Guy donating tens of millions of dollars and censoring stories on his media platform says "Make me a government official when you win" is already just the worst version of any Soros or Hunter Biden conspiracy theory we have to date. Except this is just done out in the open. You don't have to connect any dots - it's one dot. He says he wants a government job. He tweets AI images of him in his cabinet position.

His current issues with permitting in California for SpaceX probably means he'd just ask Trump to claim federal jurisdiction on all SpaceX activity and strip any regulatory power from California. They want to argue that right now, but it's a different matter if you are a part of the government that can just do it.

If you go to reasonable guesses and speculation, probably the guy who asked for a tariff exception from Trump in the past would ask for it again especially since Trump wants to tariff everything in a second term.

No matter what tho its all swamp.

Did you know that “neither” is a valid answer?

Not liking Trump does not mean “you’d rather xxxxxx.”

Not a hard thing to grasp.

“Neither “ is not a valid answer because, in the real world,  at this point in time,  you will either get one or the other. Period.  So which of the two would you rather have because regardless of wishful thinking, you will have one or the other.  This is not a hard point to grasp if one lives in reality.  One may not like this, and that is understandable, however, that is the reality of the situation.  So which of the two would you rather have?

This cast of posters are highly emotional and get their dopamine fixes by getting reactions on an anonymous message board.

Trump cultists are driven entirely by feels, which makes this post deliciously ironic.

It's like we're in some kind of retarded time loop. We had this exact same discussion on like page 10 where I posted that same damn quote, then people got super butthurt I didn't attribute it to Trump and wanted me to be banned for it. Here we are over a hundred pages later with different big-brains doing the same thing.

ETA Page 6 actually.

Yep, it’s always a business decision for these people.  They aren’t donating out of the goodness of their heart or simply because they like the person.

Yes. It’s been that way since Trump said he was going to run for President  in 2015. When he walked down those “beautiful stairs” as he puts it.

It started a wave motion of retardeness this country have never seen.

LOL. Here we go again.

You guys conveniently ignore Covid's effect on spending, an unprecedented historical event. It doesn't matter who was President, the massive spending would've happened under anyone. Yes, a select few at the top (if they were president) would've vetoed the Congressional bills (Massie, Paul, DeSantis, etc.) but they would've been overridden by Congress.

You guys can "what if" all you want, post pictures of signed Trump checks, talk about how he supported it, etc., but it still doesn't change the fact that massive spending would've occurred in 2020 due to Covid, with or without Trump as President.

Flame on.

Edit: TLDR- blaming it all on Trump is disingenuous.

Double edit: I'm not giving Trump a pass because the blame does falls on his shoulders AND many others. That bears repeating - and many others. That's where you guys fall short. You NEVER blame anyone else. It's all Trump's fault. I've probably seen more PPP abuse than most of the posters in this thread. It's sickening. Every fucking person that supported the lockdowns and handouts is to blame for Covid spending. They're all guilty. Stop acting like it's a one man show. It's not.
