Kinetic dirty bomb.
How about a Russian hypersonic glide vehicle (HGV) straight up or as a nearly weigh (same delivery vehicle with mixed MIRV, HGV, and countermeasure pods). That warhead's 4400 pounds arriving at mach 25 yielding in the low megaton range. Let's go with 1.2 right downtown dropped on the Minute Maid Park, where the Houston Astros play. A 5 psi blast of air will topple most buildings within the grey 9.3-mile-wide circle.  The Nuke Map Afterwards it would depend on what time of year as the winds are driven in different directions depending. One blowing towards the Gulf would be favorable, many would argue one blowing towards Austin would be bad, as would a wind blowing towards Dallas. |
