It's worth noting what happened in Rhodesia. A republican form of government provided for prosperity and security for all, but disenfranchised the majority, ethnic blacks. Communists seized on the racial dispute to leverage a split, and pushed for democracy. Once democracy was in place, the majority stripped rights from the minorities and destroyed the prosperity and stability they had known before. Everyone knows Zimbabwe transformed the breadbasket of Africa to a net importer of food and an economic disaster. Thanks to democracy.
Think on that in the context of today's America. |

Communism is satanic. |

Not an expert in post-colonial African geopolitics and history by any stretch, but wasn't a large chunk of the Rhodesian military and security service made up of black Rhodesians? At least even in a segregated society, they had a higher standard of living and a chance for a better life whereas if communism took over they knew they would be nothing but infinitely worse off- at least as I understand it.

In the end they were screwed over by the rest of the world and it fell apart. |

Communism never stops, negotiates or attempts to compromise. Communist as such are only stoped when they are exterminated to every man, woman and child. Communists are willing to go to these lengths to succeed. All other forms of governments and their citizens are not because they have a moral compass that is founded on a religious belief in a god of some sort and a belief murder is wrong unless provoked by another’s actions against their moral code.
Once communism gets a foothold in a society, bloodshed is inevitable. The sickest part of a society is when globalists attempts to profit off it citizens by allowing communism to enter its society thinking it can control the communist and profit while using the communist as the villain to control its citizens. You can’t control cancer. |

Quoted: I am a big fan of the Rhodesian Constitution and voting system. A Roll and B Roll. To get on A Roll, you had to have some skin in the game. B Roll was for those who didn't meet income or other requirements. It wasn't racial there were whites on B roll who didn't work. One man one vote is a failed system. We are living proof of this right now. Rhodesia also had more black millionaires then the US did at the time. What was also pretty cool was how Rhodesia didn't force black Africans who wanted a traditional tribal life to live in European civilization. The Tribal System was left intact with the chiefs consulting with the Rhodesian government - a true republic. View Quote This is probably why the British were so against it. |

In high school I did my research paper in an English class on Rhodesia. It was interesting because it was happening and you barely heard of it in the "nightly news".

Well, one shot his mouth off first without provocation in order to look cool and be edgy while flaunting his military service. The retort, in looking at the last 20 years of what the US military has been used for, was not entirely incorrect. Eta:. That is not an insult to service members. Let’s try to get back on track. I listed two operations performed by the Rhodesians that were outstanding examples of what their military was capable of. Let’s talk about that.

View Quote I remember reading news articles on Rhodesia in the WaPo back in the day when I was a teenager. SOF was a major source of info. Someone here has all the issues online. There was also the book, "Rhodesia" by Robin Cooke. I also remember 60 Minutes did a story on Rhodesia with Morley Safer. It was one of the few times I heard a reporter curse on air. At the end of the segment, he was walking down a dirt track and said Rhodesia might have a chance if the rest of the world kept "their goddamn hands off" the country. |
