Spousal unit decided we needed to hit a liqueur store this afternoon. $140 of booze later, ready for riot TV tomorrow - or technically ready for a tropical storm to hit S. Texas. When I checked at noon, they predicted the rains to start a 3am. But I think the storm is late - err, looks like it headed south. Damn, we needed that rain. Went from 70% to 40%, so now at best some light sprinkles I guess.

She got some lemon vodka and ginger beer for Moscow Mules. I got a bottle of gin, a bottle of fake moonshine, and some samples. Last 2 nights I have been hitting the good stuff - Blasil Haden's, but think I found a bottle or 2 of gin stashed away, so there is that as well.
In all honesty, if I wanted to I could stay drunk for a long time with what I have stashed. Booze is kind of like an ammo fort. The 2+ bottles I got were impulse purchases. I did not see much of my staples in the store. Maybe next week I will make a whiskey run. I think that might be my third this virus - only killing a bottle or so a week. Ok, I kill it in 3 days, then don't drink for a bit. I try not to recreate last night at Cola Warrior. That was a rough night. |
