I have a decent 5.1 surround and a Sony SACD and DVD audio set up.  I bought a bunch of stuff when it first came out and look forward to stuff remastered for that format- Pink Floyd wish you were here is an an example.  I have pretty eclectic taste in music so you’ll find 5.1 versions of Hiromi, Norah Jones, Metallica, The Who. the Flaming Lips, Clapton, Insane Clown Posse and more on my shelf.

If you are looking for very well done remasters check out anything from Mobile Fidelity.  I unknowingly -  at the time - bought Pink Floyd’s Meddle when they released it in the early 90’s - for a two channel mix it is quite immersive.

My got to source on best versions of source material is the Steve Hoffman forums.  I stay away these days because I’d rather spend my money on other stuff.

That is certainly true, like feeding quality ammo through a firearm, to get the best from any sound system you need to feed it high quality recordings.  I'm familiar with the Steve Hoffman forums.  For the best two channel recordings done with binaural microphones look up albums from Chesky Records, or any binaural recordings.  They can be incredibly realistic for two channel if your system is set up right.

Just made the wife brisket soft tacos and I made 3 sliders with the leftover dinner rolls from last night. Tasty...

Usually I do turkey and cranberry sauce sliders the day after. I couldn't pass up the brisket after I made her tacos.

You post all these wonderful pictures of open land.....

I just would like enough land I could setup a 1000 yard range and not be bothered....

Unless I buy property out west probably not going to happen, at that point I would be able to train enough.

I can do 2400m if I shoot over the road (have a hill 40' above power lines next to road)

Wish it was all mine but it'll be half my dads someday.

Don't have a picture of it handy, but my farm has a similar spot. Hill >>> valley >>> Hill which is great to stand on the one hill, shoot across the valley into the other hill.  It's only 50 yds from my backdoor, lol. That's the best part.

This was out my den window.

Then I also have a good sized pond with a decent dam that is 10-12 ft wide, making the toe of the dam 30 ft thick. There's an open field behind it giving me about 150-175 yds of shooting distance depending on where you stand. I put hay bales in front of the dam, set up targets and use the dam as a backstop (primarily use it for pistols though).

Just went looking for property near me for shits and giggles...cheapest thing was 59 acers for 54k.  Price is good but it is the top of a ridge along the entire like 3 miles except for the one little flat spot they used for the picture....  everything else over 45 acers was 150k and up.  I hate to say but my range membership is less than the taxes I would pay much less the actual property....

For dirty work tasks (sanding, painting, and ding repair on surfboards ), I'm still relying on the bulkier but more effective 3M half-face respirators. 7093 P1OO filters are readily available from domestic sellers on eBay, and even the 6035 medical filters seem to be available from international sellers.

Hard shell filters last a lot longer for me than N95 masks (so more cost effective), and the respirators provide a more reliable face seal, but YMMV.

I miss being able to casually stock up on basic masks and gloves at Home Depot.

Exactly!

I will look into that 9205 Aura.  The one I always used is the 3M 8577.  The P rating wasn't important in my case, just found that it was very good for my purposes with a good seal and fairly durable.  At this point I'm wondering if those will ever be available again.
