That said, if you're crawling slow, yeah, the auto braking is probably going to lock you down.

Modern technology sucks!!!

Some of us have warned about this for years and been laughed at in GD.

Contrary to daddy's popular belief, they were not winning......at least, not when it counted.  More evidence, never bring a knife to what ultimately becomes a gunfight.

I am sick of stupid jackasses. Can we trade these people in on newer models?

Guys it's 2021, I'm not sure why so many of you don't understand how this works.

BLM's leadership and masters would love for that to happen.   They specifically tee up on shoot-ees that aren't empathetic to the non-braindead because their rage machine works better when it has people opposing it.

They're never going to go march for a Kathryn Johnston.  Nope, you get shitheads instead.   By design.

The hard part is having to be persistent as fuck in the face of disappointment.

If you apply and it doesn't go referred, you have to tweak your resume and KSA's and try again. Keep trying. The nice thing about USAJobs is that it takes very little effort to apply for a million jobs.

Getting a job in government is the hardest part of getting a job in government. I can say with authority that Forest service is a highly desirable job and as an outsider you're having to compete with guys like me who have 5 point preference like you do (If you're a veteran) and also I've been a Funployee with a SCD date fifteen years ago, and I know how the system works inside and out and have contacts inside that agency. Hell, I very well might have contacted the hiring official as soon as I saw the opening and went over there for an unofficial interview. Federal employees absolutely work that way.

Meh, most work in any industry (blue or white collar) comes down to maintaining the status quo and then filling out the associated TPS reports.

Last summer Antifa had directions about this, using the feature on later model cars to force them to auto brake and assault the occupants.

Same here, there was a church service last Sunday where the pastor spoke to the congregation about how all lives matter and that BLM was a fraud feeding the hate.  It was good to see this being brought up in church.  We are legion compared to their numbers, and once our machine starts moving in a decided direction they are gonna get steamrolled.

No clue. But if I'm remembering correctly, high school and speed radar class told me that electromagnetic waves travel at the speed of light. Maybe a radar mile is some measurement of the time it takes a radar wave to travel a mile. I dunno. Is it multiple choice?

EDIT: I was wrong. It's the time it takes for the wave to travel one nautical mile and back. Anyone know if the TSA is hiring?

I Googled it after posting. I will look into it when my car is out of warranty. My Truck, and wife's SUV are not bad. My car is annoying, and dangerous at times. The situation occurs from a dead stop if I stomp the gas. I get a lag, and then spinning tires without moving. Kind of freaks me out.

Same principle, different power, frequency, and equipment to get the job done. The standard radar does not report anything but location.  To get its airspeed and attitude you need the beacon (ground equipment) and the transponder (aircraft equipment) to talk to each other. Both the radar and beacon information get lined up in time and direction, processed, and put on a screen the controller can use to direct aircraft.

I have been the interviewer of people who had someone else who knew what they were talking about write their resumes for them. They got to us and when asked dumb questions like, "What tool would you use to test for continuity?" they couldn't answer.

Oh.  Nautical miles vs statute miles.  Nautical miles derive from the latitude / longitude system.  1 nautical mile is equal to 1 minute  (or 1/60th of a degree) of latitude.  If you are going 1 knot you will travel 1 nautical mile in an hour.  So 60 knots of speed will allow you to cover 60 nautical miles in an hour - assuming no current or wind affecting your speed over ground.
