I mean, fences do work, we've seen this. That is just their version,  kinda like their gun laws.

New York citizen with 0 criminal record posts photos of a 3D printed AR lower on Reddit.     NYPD (and presumably other agencies) magically have all of his credit card records and internet history within days showing "parts" purchases to complete the receivers.    NYPD costume wearing domestic terrorists in uniform show up and arrest the citizen.   Seize over $22k worth of his property (including body armor claiming it was "firearm related").

6 months later all charges dropped.  No items returned.   $10k+ in attorneys fees incurred.

Still think "cops won't enforce unconstitutional gun laws?"  🤨

Compare and contrast in Minnesota:

ETA some Akron news:

Activists sue Akron police over pepper-spraying of Jayland Walker protesters, ask judge to ban police use of tear gas

Activists late Thursday filed a federal lawsuit against Akron police over the pepper-spraying of protesters who demonstrated after a grand jury declined to indict eight city police officers who fatally shot Jayland Walker.

The Akron Bail Fund also asked a federal judge to grant a temporary restraining order that would prevent police from using pepper spray and tear gas on protesters, as officers did Wednesday night. The group also sought a declaration from a judge that the police violated residents’ constitutional rights.

Akron update:

Akron agrees not to use tear gas on non-violent protesters after local group sues

The city or any other law enforcement agency working at its behest won’t use “tear gas, pepper spray, flash-bang grenade, rubber pellets, batons, body slams, pushing or pulling or kettling,” which is a technique that involves officers corralling people before arresting them, on nonviolent protesters to enforce dispersal orders, traffic laws and or misdemeanors. This applies to protesters who aren’t threatening physical harm or property damage, trespassing on private property or government buildings or impeding emergency services.

I think they’ve agreed to only use riot control munitions on people that are actually rioting. Passively blocking traffic doesn’t qualify.

Throwing bottles at cops, however . . .

The water cannon should be implemented. Think of the entertainment value.
Might help on police recruitment as well.

Hasn't the water cannon pretty much been outlawed in the US because of liability issues?  Doesn't seem to be an issue in Europe though.

Need to have all the law abiding citizens call and tell them to use the tear gas and all means available to quell the law breakers.

Akron's recent policy statement about the use of pepper spray (and other riot control methods) doesn't apply to groups who are "threatening physical harm or property damage, trespassing on private property or government buildings or impeding emergency services."

The ones in my city can zoom in and read a license plate a mile away in the dark and they have gone up everywhere.  Started in the high crime areas but slowly spread over the entire city and have been used to solve many high profile crimes including murders.

They (FW popo)do a good job of keeping shit from getting out of hand. A co-worker experienced a similar fate in the "Cowtown" area in the late 80's. He fucked around and found out. I would pay good money for video of the whole ruckus.

Between the Stockyards, Billy Bob's, and Texas Motor Speedway they have plenty of experience with big, rowdy crowds. Someone on Twitter said FWPD was soft. After seeing them in action several times at Billy Bob's, TMS, and here that defiantly isn't the case.
