Breaking News - Some nice Senior Citizen on this thread just bought by private sale, a Marlin (JM) Model 336 30-30 rifle, and a Winchester Model 190 semi-automatic 22 rifle with 4 power Weaver/El Paso scope ( both are in very fine or better lightly used condition) both for $300......... This Senior Citizen has no 30-30 ammo and will happily take 30-30 ammo donations.....................

They were working on getting a crosswalk installed in front of their door, around the same time, since employee parking was across the street and they were too lazy to walk a short distance down the street to the intersection that had a stoplight and a crosswalk. I happened to be driving by their office during rush hour, at some point before they got their crosswalk signs and lights, and a woman was flipping out so badly that a person might mistake her for a homeless person fighting their invisible demons, but she was just getting all stressed out and waving her arms because cars were not stopping to let her walk across 7 lanes. I was in the right lane and stopped, and she got all happy and waved at me (looked like she was saying 'thank you', but I couldn't hear her), before starting across the street. I gave her a confused look, because I hadn't stopped for her, but had stopped because the light had turned red at the intersection where she was supposed to cross, and traffic had stopped moving. With one of their articles on pedestrians getting hit by cars, they included a map showing where various incidents had occurred over some period of time. The majority of them were on wide (at least two lanes in either direction) streets in the more ghetto areas. |
