A Camaro we restored at my dad’s shop back in 2004 or so. 1969 Z28 in Dusk Blue with white stripes and a black vinyl top. A combo that on paper I would scoff at, but once you see it in real life it drops your jaw. This may be the car we did, as it’s the only other example of this combo I’ve found in 20 years of scouring the internet for it. Also looks a little lower just as our car did from receiving an Eibach suspension refresh. It rolled out of our shop with 17” Torque Thrusts and Z rated tires. Attached File Attached File |

Attached File Attached File 1969 Yenko Camaro. GMC limited the Camaro to smaller V8s and a Pennsylvania Chevy dealer and racer worked out a deal with Chevy for him to buy 427 motors and install them in Camaros for drag racing. Shelby was a car manufacturer and built race cars and street cars. |

Many years ago (mid 1960s) my friends grandfather retired to FL and bought himself a white mustang convertible with light blue leather seats. At the time I didn't really like Mustangs but it was a great looking car. Believe it had the 289. Ten or twelve years later it was a bit beat and grandpa was giving it away for free to anyone who wanted it. Family had first shot at it but I was close enough to have a shot. My friend and I were busy at the time so we couldn't steal the time to move it ourselves and we put some time into getting it trucked from south Florida to Ct. and there was no good place for me to store/work on it |

In my mind this is the sexiest, sweetest, coolest looking muscle car, in stock format, ever turned out of a factory, and it was done in real numbers too. Just my personal opinion, and yeah, the haters will be a long shortly but I don't care

IDK if I can find it now but I just saw a '66 or '67 period commercial for the Chevelle were they comparing it to the GTO and Fairlane GT. They were making fun of the Fairlane GT and basically called is cheap imitation of the GTO that it wasn't even good enough to include the "O". Brand marketing for sure but it was funny. |
