T7 update: installed the Camel ADV Tail Tidy finally - much improved. the install of the Tail Tidy kit itself is very simple. taking off basically every panel and 30+ screws to get all the plastic crap off you remove is a pain in the dick. buddy and I just made a morning of it while watching F1 and the Indy 500 yesterday - happy with the result. first pic is his T7 with the stock plastic monstrocity (he had his rear seat removed to fiddle with stuff) second pic is my T7 with the Tail Tidy - just reused the factory signals, no issues with them. I had no idea there were this many Triumph guys on here. This is my 2018 project bike, 6Kmi on it. I've got about $1200 of new parts on the way. Going with Delkevic full exhaust, replacing a few damaged bits, new tires, 39/16 sprockets and chain, fluids, filters, EBC pads, tail tidy and a few motone bits for now. Please excuse the state of my garage, was 100+ and I was shoving everything out of the way to make room for the bike. It wasn't something I planned ahead just jumped on a deal.

Just get a good harness cover and it will hide most of the wiring. Looking forward to seeing what you do with yours. |

After 15 years of being out of the motorcycle game I returned last weekend with the purchase of this, a new '24 DRZ400SM. It was mainly due to a thread in GD of another member getting into riding and buying a KLX300SM. I found a local dealer that had significantly discounted it due to it being a leftover so I felt it was a good entry point. I've only put 100 miles on it so far, taking it easy for the 500 mile break in period. Installed the Yoshimura fender eliminator last night. Anyway, glad to be back.

New bike day! Sold the 2 door JK with the intent of buying another motorcycle. For a while I thought I was going to look for a '23 or '24 Speed Twin 1200 but decided to go another route since I already have a 'Modern Classic'. I made it home with a brand new but dirty bike after driving 8 hours round trip (530 miles) in torrential downpours and high winds. 2025 Triumph Street Triple RS in stunning Cosmic Yellow

Traded my R1M in and got a Speed Triple 1200RS. Was waiting until they fixed the stiff suspension, and they replaced the fixed Ohlins with the latest EC3 system….. it is definitely a huge improvement over the first version on my R1M….. I’ve been marveling for the last two days at how comfortable in “road” mode and didn’t realize I was not in the “Comfort” setting anymore after thumbing thru the menus. The bike has a great front end and stupendous midrange-I’ve been wanting something I can ride fast “lazy”, and this seems to have hit that mark. Attached File Attached File |

this weeks updates to the T7  Camel ADV high exhaust - enduro bend - sounds fantastic, nice growl with crackles and pops when engine braking lol. also brings it higher on the bike and tucks it in nicely next to the rear panels Puig side windscreens - installed on the left (looking at picture) with OEM on the right - pushes wind out around my shoulders nicely. still not sure if I want a taller main windscreen yet. The Speed Triple RS is definitely faster and has better suspension, but the Street is so fun and competent at basically everything I would have had a hard time justifying the extra money….. Helps that my wife’s 765 is next to the Speed in the garage and I can still ride it. ;) |
