Eddie did some copying too. Do an image search for the punk band "The Dils". They were playing in clubs in LA in 77. You will find a photo of the guitarist jumping in the air while playing a Les Paul with black electrical tape stripes. This predates when Eddie first painted Frankie. The Eddie jump looks familiar also...

I saw Black Oak Arkansas and James Gang in Louisville at the KY State Fair in '72. Black Oak opened the show and James Gang couldn't get the audience going after that. Black Oak Arkansas was a tough act to follow in that era.
