Maybe I should have said arming the FTS.

During the first launch, it was discovered that Butch didn't use enough dynamite.

Butch used enough dynamite to bring down the typical rocket, but not enough to bring down the Austenitic Stainless Steel monster rocket that is obviously armored and built for alien combat.

We could see the holes poked through the tanks and the venting gasses escaping through them. But those puny holes weren't enough.

This time, Butch will not let Sundance impune his quantity of dynamite.

We have four Beatles walking guys worth of dynamite. If all goes well, next time won't require a fifth Beatle walking guy.

No problem. I guess we will find out the reason for the de-stack soon enough.
Rather odd doing it in the middle of a rainy Saturday night though.

The bald eagle was supposed to be wearing a space suit as well, and apparently DALL-E doesn't know what an SR-71, or the coast of Texas looks like.

Oh my God. Brilliant. Thank you.

Please have the Eagle perched on astronauts shoulder facing down in swoop attack formation.

Or even an entire squadron of eagles forming a V dive formation with astronaut at center of V.

Deaths, amputations, and serious injuries because SpaceX is going so fast they don't care about safety

Reuters documented at least 600 previously unreported workplace injuries at Musk’s rocket company: crushed limbs, amputations, electrocutions, head and eye wounds and one death. SpaceX employees say they’re paying the price for the billionaire’s push to colonize space at breakneck speed.

Aviation results in bad injuries, so why should it be surprising to see it at SpaceX?

I ended up with a dislocated knee while working on an airport ramp.  Could have also gotten a bad head injury, if I hadn't been wearing a heavy coat and thought quickly enough to tuck my chin into my chest and let my shoulders take the impact when I was thrown across the ramp.

The second time I put out an avgas fire with a handheld fire extinguisher, a guy (whose wife worked in the Vanderbilt burn ward) walked up to me a moment later and said "you're supposed to run away from fire, not toward fire".  I couldn't really argue against his logic, but the fire needed to be put out before it spread.

Then there's the guys that seem to have a habit of ignoring safety procedures, because they think those procedures are stupid, but it seems like it's usually somebody else that gets injured by their stupidity, and management is (for some reason) reluctant to remove them from the property.

They probably have their own med facilities like they do at the Cape, may even have their own ambulance(s) on site too.
Any casualty is first transported to the band aid shack and if it's determined an ambulance is needed then one is called to the shack or they use their own for transport, or put the injured in to a taxi for a ride to the hospital if that patient is stable and not dying.

Daring to do Mighty Things carry's risk.

Risk can not be eliminated.  It can only be minimized.  Not matter what, people will be injured and killed while doing anything at all... including doing nothing.

People die lying in bed.

Construction ... especially heavy steel construction will have injuries.  It's just inherent.

Really hoped to see the second launch in person but will be away if launches before Thanksgiving holiday is over.

As much as I want to see it in person, I hope it launches soon.

Perhaps the third launch will take place before April of next year.

indeed...
How many people died en-route or in America during initial colonization?  An entire colony was lost without a trace.  It was worth it.
Similarly Moving out into space... whether that's to the Moon, Mars, or space stations is worth it.

Missed the first launch, saw the abort the day before but did not stay the extra night.  Hoped to make the second, but honestly my schedule sucks till December just playing the odds right now.  If the delay continues - 50/50.  If they manage to launch before December, probably not.  Just came off of working 6 days a week, to add 10 12hr days till next Monday (today is a rain out)- then have to catch up with admin work that is due by the end of the month (a year's worth of admin work - 40hrs worth).

Considering the average rate per 100 employees is about 3.0 across all industries, and Brownsville is basically a perpetual high-intensity industrial construction zone, I'd say the numbers provided look fairly good.

Hell, in the past two years I've averaged about 1.5 reportable injuries...and can think of at least half a dozen others at work I've seen. Our rate at my agency is probably double that of the SpaceX average lol.

The most notable datum from the article is that Reuters is definitively on the payroll of the same entities behind the Democrats.
