Another had many sexual harassment complaints filed against him over the years but always got away with it. One day he groped a customer in the elevator. She was an officer in the USAF and we are a defense contractor. He wasn't around much longer after that. |

About 10+ years ago one of the night shift guys brought an AR15 and did a mag dump into the air in the parking lot. Eventually HR found out about it and he got escorted out by the police when his employment was terminated.

Boeing Huntsville probably 20 years or so ago: HR guy is going through a very bad divorce. His wife calls Boeing and says he has a gun in his car. They search his car; yep, gone right there. She fucked him good one last time.
 Another: Boeing Huntsville Security Officer, well liked and has a great reputation at work. I saw him often at work since we both worked in the 48-19 building at B-Hsv; plus several Hsv gun shows way back then. Goes off on an elk hunt out west. He kills an elk with a bow and one of his friend's video tapes it. It gets put out to social media of some sort, with his face clearly shown pickin' and grinnin'. Only problem: It was videotaped well within the Yellowstone National Park. Yea he, his friend and the so-called guide get busted with felonies. Bye-Bye cush security job at Boeing. Or any security job anywhere for that matter. Last I heard, he was working at the SE Huntsville Winn-Dixie, which closed a decade or so ago. He's still local according to TruePeopleSearch.

Female officer I worked with would visit the elderly during her shift. Ones she met during ambulance calls or other calls for service. One of the elderly noticed some of her pain meds missing and called the PD.
Big investigation. Female officer lost her job and her POST certification but was allowed to retire. As I recall she was also put on a drug diversion program. Got killed a few years later in a head-on while she was going the wrong way on a freeway. She was drunk. |

CONUS Air Force missile base right as Desert Shield kicks off.
Young one or two-striper security forces kid is calling home to a small town in Florida, talking to his girlfriend. Ricky starts telling her he's deployed to the Gulf, not sitting in the Dakotas chasing rabbits off of missile sites. Desert Storm starts, the sttories get wilder and wilder. PSD for Schwartzkopf. Getting attacked by Iraqis. Surviving an B52 bombing run that went wrong. Ricky eventually goes home on leave "after coming back from the Gulf", small city goes all out--homecoming parade, keys to the city, etc. Makes the front page of the lifestyle section of USA Today (below the fold). Goes back to the "Gulf" (but actually to the Great White North). Still calling back home with stories. GF's sister is hearing all this, had done a tour in the Navy, things weren't adding up. "Why are all these collect calls coming from Base X?" Ricky says "Security, they route it through my home station to hide where I'm actually calling from." GF's sister decides to press to test. Calls his unit at the base. "Hey, is Ricky there?" "Oh, yeah, he's out at Charlie, been there the last three days. Would you like the number out there?" "No, let me tell you what Ricky's been doing...." That was my first exposure to the eight-hour discharge. The kid was out of the field, signed a power of attorney for shipping his household goods, outprocessed off the base and out of the Air Force in one duty day. Sure enough, USA Today calls for the follow-up story a couple weeks later, but got the answer that "Ricky? No, man, Ricky doesn't work here anymore...." |

I had a supervisor zero in on a married woman who was a new hire. Things started getting weird for months then one day he went into her purse while she was in the restroom and copied her phone number along with her home phone number. We worked a weekend shift so we were off Monday through Thursday. He started calling her when she was off work and her husband was at work.
This went on for months and the harassment culminated with him following her to the restroom in another part of the plant and trying to enter said bathroom while she was barring the door to keep him out. The next day we were all standing around bullshitting before the starting bell and he pulls out a pic of a large hard veiny penis and asked her if she wanted to see his. With that he grabs her wrist and puts her hand on his visible hard on. The rest of us were standing there slack jawed at what he had just done. We all told him that was fucked up and the bell rang to start the shift. For the rest of the work day we begged the woman to call the cops since she had three witnesses to the sexual assault that had just occurred but she was scared of her abusive husband and was sure she would be hurt or killed if he found out. I told her that I would call 911 and had the phone in my hand but she was in full blown tears and sobbing at what her husband might do to her and begging me not to report it. She hadn't told her husband of the stalking because she was scared of him and was afraid of losing her job. This was on a Sunday and we called the business owner for a meeting the next day. All three of us that witnessed the act told our side of the story while the secretary did shorthand. The owner was so mad he was a dark shade of red while the secretary sat there completely white. The supervisor was fired the next day when he was called into the office to what he thought was a promotion but was canned instead. |

We had a company wide work meetup in New Orleans. Whole company flies in, stays in a hotel, during the day we all go downstairs and have meetings in the big ballrooms. After work, we go out and do team building stuff.
One new guy thought it was a good idea to pick up a hooker and do the whole hookers and blow thing. Then leave her in his room all day while he went down to sit in meetings for hours. It didn't take long for shit to go sideways. He ended up getting kicked out of the hotel and fired. |

A half ass installation tech backed a customer's car out of the shop without making sure that the doors were closed. Folded the back door of a new Honda flat against the front door. Lots of damage. He had damaged other cars doing installations, and was paying off his damage debt. I asked to just fire the dumbass previously, boss man said no. The tech's family owned one of the retail buildings that the company leased. I got to fire him that day.

She went to management on her next break. Older white guy was walked-out. I had worked with the black guy. He was a hard worker, always smiling, and never showed any sort of aggression when he was on my crew. No one was ever told what exactly the guy said to him to push him over the edge. |

I relieved the afternoon officer at work; he was unusually "happy." I found out why: he had left a joint in the shallow desk drawer at the security officer's station! Didn't even try to hide it!
I called it in and a supervisor came for it. The officer was sent for drug testing, and called in saying he had a better job and wouldn't be back. I and 2 other officers had to go for drug testing. A couple of weeks later they called me at home and asked what happened to the joint. I told them "I gave it to Sgt. so-and-so." Gee, I wonder who enjoyed the joint... |

This thread is far out. I started working at 16 and can't ever recall anybody being fired in all the years, including myself. Lots of people quit in strange and wild ways over the years, but can't recall any firings.

I have several
#1 Alcoholic in a DOD job. Has had multiple DUIs, been caught drunk at work multiple times, sent to rehab on the gov's dime, given countless opportunities to clean it up. Heck, the guy even fell off his roof while drunk one weekend and was in the hospital for a while. After he returned from rehab they discovered where he was hiding his stash of liquor at work and canned him. He committed suicide that week. #2 2nd grade teacher at local public school my wife worked at would come in late on Mondays and be totally out of it from her weekend bender. She wasn't teaching, everyone knew what she was up to but mommy worked in admin so they had to nail her to the wall with hard evidence before terminating her. She would lock herself in the staff bathroom for extended periods of time to do narcotics while at school. After almost a full year they finally got her. Hard to teach when you're a convicted felon in prison. #3 DOD, totally incompetent probationary engineer. It's really hard to fire someone in DOD unless they're actually breaking laws, incompetence isn't against the law. The guy's supervisor is exactly the type to make it happen though and he succeeded at getting this guy out after 2 years of reprimands, improvement plans, and missed deadlines and incompetence from the engineer. A couple weeks later the engineer is back as a contractor engineer...govt and contracting is so messed up! #4 Senior EMT at the hospital both my SILs work at got canned for BS. They got called out early one morning, right after shift change, he drops everything and gets in the ambulance asap. The younger EMTs aren't coming, he blows the horn, waits, and finally goes looking. They're making coffee. He lays into them, screaming about it being people's lives at stake and if they value coffee more than lives they're in the wrong job. They tell him to chill out, the coffee is almost done. He calls them things he probably shouldn't have said. He gets canned later that day. Our society is so screwed! |

We dock in Japan and the first person off is the captain, in a straight jacket, on a stretcher.Drunk and delirious. Different ship, 1967.We dock in Antioch, Ca. and the "chief mate" brings his super hot girlfriend to his room.A few hours later, they get in a fight and she runs naked down the gangplank, with him giving chase, also naked.They are never seen again and we sail the next day with no Chief Mate. He told me he was going to ask for his badge and then his revolver and if he pointed the revolver at him, to shoot the guy getting fired. I asked are you kidding. Nope! Shoot until he is disabled. My heart was racing. The sergeant told the guy he was being fired and asked for his badge. No problem. Asked for his gun. My hand was on my grip. I saw my sergeant's hand was on his grip. The kid took out his gun and laid it on the table. Yep, and this guy had already killed someone, so we were being ready and prepared. |

One year at a meeting in Vegas some buyers for a large company indulged in hookers and blow. There wasn’t a person in the room who made less than $300,000k a year.
The hookers were paid and disputed the payment and caused a scene. Police were called. The buyers were let go. They are buyers at another company now. Another buyer accepted a boat and all kinds of stuff from a vendor. He knew better but got federal charges. Buyers can only accept hookers and food and drink as bribes, you cannot accept items with VIN numbers or anything that doesn’t go away once you pay for it. |

Brand new e2 shows up at the unit. Kind of a dumbass, but not a bad dude generally. Comes in one day and tells a story about his wife tying him down to the bed and forcibly pegging him with a big black dildo. Everybody is wondering why the f you would ever tell that story to anyone.
Fast forward a couple months and some lady calls in to the company asking for SGT (private's name). CQ says I've never heard of that sergeant but we have a pv2 (private's name). Turns out it's this kids wife. He's been pinning on e5 rank when he leaves every day for months. His squad leader searches his vehicle and finds his pin on rank. Major flap occurs, kid gets an art15 for impersonating a nco. His wife comes in to make sworn statements to the effect and somebody asks her about the pegging story. She says no, that's not how it went down, he asked for it as a special treat for his birthday. He ended up going awol after the art15 goes through and got chaptered in absentia. What a dumbass. |

Doing security work at a DoD contractor. This was a cushy campus-type workplace; every 3rd person coming through the gate was a Ph.D. Things were great for the security people, everyone knew and liked us; they'd bring birthday cake to the guard shack whenever someone had a celebration.
Then Uncle Bobby arrived. This guy was like a water balloon full of shit, he was just full of himself. Every third word from his mouth smelled of excrement. Then strange stuff started happening: money missing from the honor-system candy concession, stuff missing from desks... and panties missing from the lady's lockers in the workout room. The panties were the final straw; someone evidently put up a camera and he was just... gone. He wrote a 1 1/2 page goodbye letter in the log book and signed it "Mizpah." |

I worked on the B-2 radar program in the early and mid 1980's. The program area was a giant SCIF, with armed guards at the entrance. Employees had to give permission to be searched going in and out. People were searched at random, but it was not too common. One of the guards had a habit of stopping and searching people more frequently than others. He seemed to have a bad attitude in general. I assumed that he just took his job seriously and I didn't have any bad feelings for him.
For many years, food kept disapearing from the refrigerators inside the program area. My lunch was stolen many times. Not a really big deal until you consider that everone in there had a TS and additional clearances. They handled highly classified documents every day. And the food theft kept occurring. Eventually, program management became concerned and got permission to set up hidden surveillance cameras in the kitchen area. They put fried chicken, pizza, etc. in the refrigerator and let the cameras roll. Almost immediately, they filmed the guard with the bad attitude loading up on goodies. He was fired immediately. |

union shop large aerospace manufacturer:
fired: guy went to rehab for substance abuse and when he "recovered" he got called into the office. showed him security video of him and his buddy smoking dope and drinking beer in the parking lot. fired.he was an ok guy and his GF was kinda hot with huge knockers. guy got fired in the office and proceeded to strip and run naked along the catwalk of the plant. just before I started working there: there was a bigly drug trafficking network at the plant.soft drugs like hash and pot--maybe coke. Transport would deliver the "stuff" to racks in different dept's. with specially marked cardboard open top boxes for distribution. anyway,narcs put in agents disguised as employees and got involved with buying product. one day cops go in and bust ppl. guys I knew got off scott free since they were stripped searched(they told me in public in front of women) and found nothing. they only got a few ppl as the smart ones must of had spidey senses. not fired: guy was a shylock who lent money,sold drinks and chips at work.Aramark complained but he toned it down a bit then went right back to doin' it. old Portuguese guy would come into work and go thru the trash cans to find pop can to turn in for 5 cents each.He owned multiple rental appartments. another guy,who was a mister"i'm better than everyone else"(he cut corners to go fast--I had to fix some of his shit) got his lunch box shit in.company bought him a new box. we had a "pot" at work--put in 2 or 5 bucks with your name and dept. # and it was drawn and winner takes all.I won a couple of times,once while probationary. anyway,older woman who collected the pot was skimming--she would take some of the money for herself. found out when a guy who lost had put in multiple dollars and the guy who won let him look at the bills.his name was missing on a few bills. old bat never lived it down but nothing was done and the pot was deemed verboten by management. |

Girl went out of her way to get fired years ago. My coworkers that have been there 30+ years told me she's the only person they have ever heard of getting terminated outside of probation, gov job of course. She basically picked fights with everyone for years, showed up when she wanted, had a fight with her girlfriend, yes one of those, on the property, and I can't even remember what else. Final straw was violating a restraining order on her girlfriend and breaking windows trying to blame it on her ex.
People have stolen, been in fist fights, clocked in and left, broken expensive equipment, didn't show up for months at a time, played tennis for 2 hours a day every day for 10+ years and kept their job, but they terminated her because she seemed to actively be pursuing it so she could try to sue the agency for discrimination. It's an interesting place |

Supervisor starts walking around. Supervisor finds missing crew member. Nude sunbathing out behind the warehouse. Much hilarity ensued. |
