Overall, if people think he's just some narcissist, the best move would be to just stop talking about him. If anything, continually posting about him complaining is just going to eventually lead to clicks and conversions on his webstore and put money in his pocket. Congratulations, you played yourself. You're correct in that too. He along with several others were on a live Twitch broadcast with the Dev for the game Escape from Tarkov with thousands of viewers where they chatted pretty much exclusively about firearms and the 2nd amendment. Hes getting the word out, hes telling people to train, become proficient, learn first aid, etc etc. (I 100% get that the kid isnt the one you want to be getting the training from, and he's not even offering classes for anyone who might have wanted his training in the first place) but he is growing the community, and his message is beneficial to newcomers. Fucking this. My parents are from NY and CA, needless to say I did not grow up with guns or anyone who could teach me about them. Counter-Strike (I'm old) got me into guns. NRA first steps is where I first handled and shot a gun when I was 19. YouTube/ARFCOM/internet is where I learned everything I know. I shoot one to two matches a month and own lots of NFA goodies. His education on 2A for gamers is massive in the culture war. Lucas/Trex was the first vocal advocate for civilians to own gear/kit, to train, and be proficient. I'm tired of MIL/LEO gatekeeping. As to the video, navyguy says thru 3rd party 5th group just uses his range. Lucas say different. It's probably a bit of both if you ask me, why do I care? He went thru hundreds of hours of his content and found 3 examples of bad tactics. Garandthumb pretty much said this, "sometimes we make mistakes when training". Why not put out a video helping Lucas / the community correct those mistakes? vs drama? This is no where near Cory or Tarans shit. We have a common enemy it's the left. |

Dude owns a company he started with help from his family and makes money. Good for him, thousands of people do the same thing.
So his father bought him a range and they turned it into a cool place for him and his buddies to shoot... good for him. He shoots fast at close targets on a range that he helps set up, a range where he knows where all the targets are placed, because he helped set it up. Now his friends film him shooting those targets and people fall in lust for him. He doesn't shoot with people outside his group, he doesn't do matches, he doesn't seek other trainers input. He claimed to work with MIL/LEO, then makes derogatory comments about their skills on social media. His fan base worship him and say stuff like his team would wipe out MIL/LEO guys. What proof do you have of that other than him shooting fast. His tactics around vehicles and barricades are terrible and not sound. He puts a partial used mag back into a slot where you just did your speed load from... that's all kinds of bad. He mocks people that make fun of his build, yet if you are on a team and your body gets hit, you better be able to get him or her to cover, can he do that? In a CQB environment things can go hands on, people can get the jump on you, can he gain control of his weapon if someone grabs it, can he fight off an attacker that gets the jump on him? If you are training for a fight, you should understand pulling the trigger is the easy part of it. He has a lot to learn but his arrogance gets in the way of that and pushes off anyone that calls him out. At the end of the day he is a cocky young man that shoots fast and has money. That's it. |

Experience and credibility matters to a lot of us.
And he basically has neither. Also his tactics and gun handling absolutely do suck in the clips posted in that video... that was his best take that he chose to post up huh? Thought everyone said “he can outshoot you” or something like that... (he probably could outshoot me. But I’d even the odds since I know how to actually use cover...) Lots of good knowledgable trainers and such out there. Make someone more deserving your hero instead. |
