I saw a CT5 Blackwing today, I’d definitely have to get one of those. $120,000ish

GT3RS. $250,000ish

I suppose I’d have to get one of those large Mercedes sedans, whatever the number is nowadays $130,000ish

There would be a ZL1 in there, and probably whatever the baddest vette is (ZR1?). Call those two around $150,000ish

An M2 CS Clubsport. $150,000ish (with spares)

Is there a Ferrari I can pick up with the remaining $200,000?

This is GD.  Everyone has huge, fancy garages and $1M isn't even a noticable amount of money.

For me though...

I dunno, I've never had a dream car.  Something loud and fast.  GT-R's are cool.  Maybe a 911 GT3 RS.

A couple motorcycles.

Lots of fab stuff though.  Laser, brake, welder, mill, lathe, etc.

I'll take this stuff.

I would have f750, 5wheel camper, tahoe for wife, raptor for me, raptor for son, raptor for daughter, a 2019 taurus sho for dd, a 64 vette, and a 57 chevy viking with the short bed

2000ishTacoma TRD. Maybe two.
A couple of 1996ish LS400s, one supercharged. Maybe a 460 as well.
An LX or three. 450 and 470 with ARB bumpers, a newer one, 570 maybe. All stock or near height
Lastly, one seriously built and boosted SC300 that looks totally factory except for maybe tires and intercooler tucked away.
Maybe a Camry or Corolla for me only. My wife and kids drive the larger, safer stuff in my dream world. In reality, they have Toyota/Lexus sedans.

Nothing newer than 2010 preferably.

That should be only half the million at the most. So the rest would be spare parts and diy tools like a lift and Techstream. I’d do my own tire balancing. Aside from engine rebuilds I could probably keep them all going for decades by myself. And I would love to do it.

ETA why? Because old Toyotas make me happy. To drive and to maintain. They just work and were built very well. Designed with longevity and serviceability in mind. Some cars that weren’t really suck to work on. I don’t want attention or status symbol cars. Well, maybe just a little but only from people that think like I do.

I'm a relatively simple man with simple tastes.

A Pinzgauer 712m for the property. $35,000

A clean DeTomaso Pantera.           $150,000
Why? If you don't know why you've never experienced the sound and looks combined. Raw American power encapsulated by something other than a secretary's car with some options checked.

An orange 1973 Porche 911 RS.    $650,000
It's a firm middle finger to being the passenger with a steering wheel. It's a driver's car that demands it be driven.

A 4 wheel drive Toyota Tundra.        $50,000
Daily driver that does all needed tasks with no fuss.

A Toyota Highlander Hybrid.             $50,000
Long ranged road trip cruiser/family hauler.

A Toyota Camry for out of town guests $40,000
Nothing sucks worse than being at the mercy of your host's schedule and the rental company's fleet availability for transportation when staying for an extended period. If I trust you in my house I can throw you some keys.

And finally a Polaris Ranger SXS for estate trails and chores $25,000

Your budget is not high enough for my desires…….

ETA - my lust starts at a 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso.  They clock in at about $1.2m…..

My true dream car is a Ferrari 288 GTO.  From the first time I saw one I’ve had “want” in my heart.  Worth a cool 3.5 million.

Toyota Land Cruiser heritage edition - The just in case vehicle
Toyota Tundra  - The daily
Toyota Supra - The weekends
Toyota Sequoia - For spouse and the little one

The vehicles above would get around $100,000 in modifications which puts me at about $400000 for the vehicles ( with all the boxes checked on the options list) and additional modifications.

The other $600000 goes into
Mercedes Benz unimog 6x6 built for world travel.
If I have $1 million to spend on  vehicles I am financially stable enough where I am not tied down to a 9-5 and would enjoy traveling the world in the vehicle above and have the most reliable vehicles available for daily living.

My list is nowhere near $1M, but it would include a 1970 Boss 302 Mustang, and an Audi RS3. For the practical portion, a Tundra 4x4 quad cab would do nicely.

Like a prius hybrid or tesla or something with really good mileage for dd.

No need to "bank the rest" it is utterly not needed.

What do you buy?

(and the Gen 4 ZR1 is a wicked cool choice....)

Again, for everyone, step outside your reality. There is no need to "save" this.   It doesnt matter.  Spending it all is nothing to you.

You said deca millionaire 10 million.  not spending it all is nothing.
Even if i had 100s of millions I likely would not have a million sitting in cars.
