Beauty is in the eye of the the beholder.
There is no perfect type for all. I've had friends who were totally in love/lust with all types. One friend was insanely in love with a petite anorexic (to my eye), another with a portly wife admitted he prefers his women gelatinous. In the case of the latter, he actually used the word "marbled", like describing a steak. I personally have always been most attracted to more athletically built women. The woman i spent most of my life with was a former track athlete and she stayed in shape. I guess the pinnacle of female form would be what you see in ballroom dance or skating. Strong, but still very feminine. It's not the glitzy outfits and performance makeup, but the form, poise and strength. A good "sport" for a female. I've seen pros that are in their 50s that still look stunning.  Not sure who the gal in this pic is, but i can tell that if she were not a dancer or athletic, she'd be tipping the scales at 250. |

Despite the photos they chose (which do not match up to the measurements) the measurements are just a busty hourglass figure----not fat. No need to @ Midcap here.
In clothing sizes those measurements would be between a small and extra small in jeans and a medium and large in tops. Throughout history the hourglass has been (overall) the most preferred body shape. It still is, just with even bigger boobs. |

You do have some periods where fine art painting and showing the female form coincide with a trend towards a little thicker woman but that kind of came down to them being able to afford to eat. There rarely has been a trend towards very skinny though, it does not exemplify the female form. We generally associate that with some softness and curves. |

Curvy wimminz ( you know; “curves”, NOT “curvey” when used as a euphemism for fat) with a waist, proportional hips and boobs, legs with strong developed thighs and calves with slim ankles. A woman with natural muscle tone in her extremities but not ‘roid enhanced.
They are out there, but just not as common. Of course, a woman doesn’t have to be “perfect” or ideal (whatever THAT is) to be beautiful. |
