How about that the coronavirus Covid-19 was created in a lab and leaked out?

I kind of think that might be true.

That’s not really a conspiracy theory so much as a theory.  I don’t think it’s true, but the ChiComs have the ability and are transparent as the Great Wall.  And don’t care about people in the slightest.  It’ll become a conspiracy theory once there’s more information one way or another.

Anti-vaxers was not an option.

I picked "We didn't land on the moon." closely followed by "9/11 was an inside job."

The shit that some people will believe never ceases to amaze me.

There is a positive correlation between the "Coefficient of Stupidity/Ignorance" and believing shit like that.

The theory was that he was responding to the report that sounded like it came from in front/Grassy Knoll (so the gun was off safe & finger on trigger & pointed forward) and his car lurched when the driver floored it, causing the point blank ND.

I prefer "tragedy/comedy of errors" type conspiracies since they seem way more plausible than a perfectly executed plan involving a thousand people.  If USSS did accidentally blow off half the president's head, OF COURSE they'd have to cover it up, and if it occurred during an actual assassination attempt, OF COURSE it'd be easy to pull that cover-up off.  Best part, is that technically this theory doesn't really change anything (JFK was likely already shot dead) but does explain the oddity of the whole situation.

Granted, the fact USSS let JFK be killed at all was nearly as embarrassing...so the narrative of ass-covering behavior is hardly unique to the ND theory.

No.

Jesuits are like.....they're like Catholic Gnostics. Catholics hate them. They go off on tangents.  They are an order under the Roman Catholic Church, and called something along the lines of the Society of Jesus.
Catholics are embroiled with worship of Mary and the virgin. Mary brought us jesus so she should be venerated and take first place.  Protestant churches are focused on jesus, and Mary was just a vessel. We get to heaven through jesus, not through Mary. Etc.

The Jesuits have their own Pope which some refer to as the Black Pope.

There is a theory that the Black Pope actually controls the regular Pope, but the Jesuit society is....well not secret per say, but not open about their hidden agenda.  Many important changes in history have occurred through their meddling.

I mentioned gnosticism.  The Jesuits are very big on learning.  They have a big college somewhere.  Knowledge is important.  Counterpoint, the Catholic church has amazing libraries especially in the Vatican.  They like to horde it and have controlled access to the archives. They're kind of yin-yang

Ok summary.

There are areas in India that have radiological signals (strong radation) that is not natural to the geography and earth strata, and is very similar to radiation as measured at atomic bomb test sites.

Not entirely conclusive.  Now when you read the ancient religious texts like the Vedas, they specifically mention both flying machines and atomic bombs.  They dont say "atomic bomb" explicitly but it is descriptive enough where you go hmmm.

Theres some other corroborating ancient documents but this is all very murky.  How do you record an event like that when you only have stone and chisel?

In that lecture, Wilson talked about the best way to make an untruth believable was to tie it to a truth - kind of like creating an alternate version of real events. He followed up the Illuminatus Trilogy with Schrodinger’s Cat, which is yet an alternate reality of the one in that book. Good follow up read, and not nearly as long.

He followed up the Illuminatus Trilogy with Schrodinger’s Cat, which is yet an alternate reality of the one in that book. Good follow up read, and not nearly as long.

I'm reading the Illuminatus Trilogy by RAW.  That thing is chock full (804 pages) of conspiracy stuff.
That’s one of my favorite books. I saw him give a lecture in 97, and he briefly talked about when he and Robert Shea wrote that book, and said they wanted to roll in as many conspiracy theories as they could into that book. RAW was a super smart and very funny guy.
I'm on page 200 something; the scene with George and the golden apple (ick).

It definitely covers the breadth of topics, reference real books within the plot.  I'm not so sure how much is fiction and how much is partial truth.

I want tobelieve. Jpeg

It reminds me of the book Foucault's Pendulum, but that one was more narrowly focused

I saw the Schrodingers Cat. It's on my list.

I noted somewhere on the page when Hagbard was discussing how one group controls both sides of things and then comes out of nowhere with a third option that it sounded very Hegelian.  Thesis, antithesis and synthesis.

For instance they were speaking about right and left, communists and fascists. And how there's always a 3rd option in bewteen, but that the mystery group (illuminati) in the the book controlled all three to get people to sway and amenable to the 3rd option, when they're ready of course....

In many ways, Trump is our 3rd option. He ran as Republican, he's donated to Democrats, Republican politicians (many) dislike him as much as the dems.  He doesn't do everything aa far right conservative as the right would like, but he also does some left things that the far left want (bump stocks).  Its not perfect analogy, but Dem-Repubs are thesis, antithesis, and Trump is the synthesis.....

If I may be so allowed to shoehorn him into this analogy.

Is this the conspiracy theory or your actual understanding?

Epstein Didn't Kill Himself- obviously.

We Didn't Land on the Moon- we probably did back then, and more modern claims should be suspect though.

They are controlling the weather with technology- weather control dates back to the Vietnam war.

They are hiding UFO truths from us- Unidentified =/= aliens

9/11 was an inside job- my thoughts on this would get me banned.

My favorite JFK conspiracy theory is from a guy who wrote a book saying a Secret Service agent had an N.D. with his AR15 and accidentally shot Kennedy with the second bullet.  He evidently had his finger on the trigger with the safety off and panicked when the first shot rang out.  The author of the book supposedly had the scientific data down to the gnat's ass, but his book was so dry and boring with stats and mathematical formulas that it tanked on the book market and is all but forgotten.

I saw a video about that theory on you tube. It was interesting.

And did you see that damage from those tumbling bullets? Unbelievable.

The most ridiculous conspiracy theory is that the government has our best interests in mind, would never do harm to it's own citizens, always tells the truth, and can be trusted without question.
