English pointer for bird dog.
Whatever my mutt is for a family dog. Belgian Mal for family protection dog. Shitzu because it keeps my wife happy. |
|
|
GSP for loyalty/personality and terriers for pure entertainment.

Best for me?
Probably a Bull Terrier. They’ve stolen my heart with their silliness. Most fabulous? Standard poodle. They sort of embody the definition of FABULOUS. |

I've got a couple Chinese Cresteds, but not the hairless variety like you have pictured there. Great little dogs - even as adults, they're very playful, energetic and affectionate. They don't shed. No, they're not intimidating dogs, but they are pretty good about alerting you anything out of the ordinary. If they see a car coming up the driveway or someone outside the house, you will definitely hear about it.

My GSD/Rot mutt is turning out to be a badass after a lot of training. Fiercely loyal and protective. Very playful.
Some may remember me wanting to take him out back and shoot him after he destroyed a window trying to "escape" my house. Chopping his nuts really helped out..... My old Golden Retriever was the sweetest animal alive. |
|
my brother has a chinese crested.
they're needy, obnoxious and have poor health. they loose their teeth easily, need to have sun screen applied constantly, often get large moles. If you let them outside in an area with anything sharper than a worn out crayon, they will come back in bleeding. they will shit inside in the winter. anything below 65 and they're freezing. They're quite possibly the worst dogs a to consider unless you plan on carrying it around in a bag and live in a high rise in a warm area. I feel bad for them, what a terrible breed to have created. |

Korean dog... Circa mid eighties I was in S. Korea and dog was offered to me. He was on the raw side you might say. I didn't take him home...

That didn't take long.

We have a Shepkita.
Looks like a GSD with an Akita tail. 75 lbs. He's super mellow, but lets you know if something is there. SHEDS like crazy. Likes to play, but can chill. We are lucky we have a nice doggie |

For the most part any dog thats rescued.
Fabulous I put in the English / Irish setter world. |
|
Bullmastiff.
Highly intelligent, loyal to the family, protective, big and intimidating, but VERY lazy so they won't destroy the house if you leave them alone for a few hours. Imagine a roided-out GSD that lives to eat, sleep, poop, sleep, scare off intruders, sleep, repeat. |
|
I like the Japanese Shiba Inu and the classic Corgi for "best" dog.
For most fabulous, I'd have to say the Afghan. |

Sorry, I'm pretty taken with the brown dog on the right. I keep seeing his siblings are winning show after show too. I almost feel like I ripped him off but I'm pretty sure his siblings stay outdoors and he doesn't. He's very spoiled. Hell, both of them are. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/281579/FullSizeRender-978399.jpg https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/281579/OgdenBathDay-930725.jpg View Quote |

He learned to use the bells to go out in about 3 weeks flat. He's marked all of three times in the house, and when you shame him, he knows what you're doing and it bothers him. He's seriously sweet too. Not at all what I expected. His father is a grand champion from out of Slovenia. |

Rhodesian Ridgeback
Fiercely loyal. Remarkably capable. Aloof towards non-family members. Wary of strangers. However, they will get up on your kitchen counters and devour all of your food without an ounce of fear or remorse. |
|
My best friend lost his best friend Jindo.
We can't get him to contact us on the phone or FB anymore. Grief has struck him pretty hard. |
|
Ridgeback, because they'll never be known as "fabulous" dogs.
Getting a specific dog breed due to it being a fashion statement is the mark of an idiot. |
|
GSP for best/most reliable
Weimaraners are, of course, fabulous. |

Quoted: Hell no on the pointer! Every one I have been around has been neurotic, spastic, anxious, just a general pain in the ass. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. View Quote Mine too. She WAS a crack addict on speed that was mainlining monster energy drinks. She would run and run and run. Shes older now and like the comfy bed we have for her now. ETA I hunted with my Annie. Not nearly enough and I feel horrible for not giving her the opportunity to do what she loved more often. |
