I decided to try really hard to hit my calories for the day so I had a good breakfast and found a Chinese place for lunch.  Pro tip, when in Waukesha Wisconsin don't eat at Feng's Kitchen and Diseased Animal Clinic on Grandview Ave.

Three bites and I threw the rest in the trash and went out to lick the parking lot for a while.  Probably have the shits tomorrow, so much for hitting my calorie goals.

Crews are working along fine without me, maybe I'll go to the gym early.  I could chew on some of the wipes they had for washing the equipment.

This trip I'm in a Staybridge hotel that has the really nice kitchen.  In fact I BBQ'd last night, asparagus and Cajun chicken.  Made my own eggs with a lake of butter this morning, but wanted to eat out for lunch.

Lesson learned.  It's about 3:00 here now, so time for my shake.  I've got a bunch of berries and milk at the hotel, should be a good smoothie/shake.

Then I gotta figure out what's for dinner.  I ate a 40+ ounce steak on Saturday, but haven't had seafood in a few days.


Eta-  when I'm working in remote locations I eat a lot of those tuna pouches and canned chicken.  I keep a selection of mustards and change it up as much as I can.

The problem is not getting good food, it's remembering to eat it.

I'm thankful for both. The testosterone for giving me the will to live again and the members here who have helped me.

My life philosophy

Minus a few aspects of that, it's my new motivation.

Eta: I've also got a buddy I'm working out with now. When you're in there by yourself you tend to not push yourself as hard as you can. When you don't have competition you become stagnant and progress slows. When you have someone who you want to beat at everything, you push and push until you do win or work harder so you can win.

Squats for 5's last night (Beyond 1.2)
40% - 145 x 5
50% - 180 x 5
60% - 220 x 3
65% - 235 x 5
75% - 275 x 5
85% - 310 x 5
TM for Rep PR - 365 and I managed 4 for PR

The trainer was spotting me on the last set, and he was like "Why did you stop???"

I diagnosed myself with having dehydration last week.  I got a fever and thought it might have been a virus of some sort, then never really recovered and had this weird heat exhaustion type thing on Saturday.  I had just been training really hard and not enough water, period.  Time to turn over a new leaf with hydration.  Watch out, if you're training hard and not drinking enough, it slowly creeps up on you, and then will take you down fast.  Having been a football player in the FL heat, I thought I knew what I was doing hydration-wise, but I guess I forgot how much I really used to drink.

Been eating and drinking hard since Saturday and finally went to the gym this morning and felt ok.  But weight is down to 238, which is 20 pounds lost since the strongman in March.

Fuck yeah, I worked all day, got home did a little work here and then crushed my workout. Didn't even feel like I needed preworkout. I feel like I could go workout again right now.
