So seal team 5 was there yesterday. Where are they today? Just because a photo was taken does not mean they are still there. Subs off the coast if Korea? Oh my goodness, we never have subs in an hot zone

One commenter even mentions many if the seals were at parade rest. I guess they have never been in the military. Not one was at parade rest In the photo. They were at ease which is what one would be doing when taking an impromptu though posed pic. Those who have been in the mil find themselves going to a more regimented stance when confronted by high ranking individuals. They are standing up straight and being respectful of the highest ranking member of the armed forces.

The only one positively identified was the chaplain. The rest could have been random e3s they pulled for the photo op. No one in that pic looked like a seal in a forward operating theater. Too clean shaven and inspection ready gear. They may have been as regs change with different commanders.

The President and First lady both went to see our forward operating troops. That is great as I don't remember bummer taking the mrs. Personally I would rather see Milania anyway.

Yes. There is. I worked with a guy who dealt with release of info like this. You'd be surprised at the amount of Top Secret and Secret level info that get declassified for release to the public. Initial classification can be temporary and then goes through a review process that's pretty quick. Like within a matter of minutes fast.

The guy in the photo is a Chaplain assigned to a SEAL team. He's not a trigger puller. A non-combatant, so it doesn't matter. The operators IDs a safe. Team 5 is in theater. Great. And?

Edit: I didn't see the second pic. Names are concealed, but faces are ID-able. Hmmm that'd I'd be a bit more concerned with, if they are actual SEALS. Profiles can be built with that. Guaranteed China and Russia already knows who is who though.

That, I'm not sure. As a chaplain he wont see combat, but if he's rocking the trident, he may have went through training and earned it. Can't really see his badge clear enough to see what it is on my screen though.

There is a ST5. Since the start of the "war on terror" there was an increase in the number of teams. Not the numbers of guys so much, although I do think the numbers are up.
