This is where some of the "diet" tracking apps are good at dialing in macros.

I gotta say, I never thought I’d find a legit diet where one of my all time favorite foods (prime ribeye steak) was considered the best thing you could eat and something you could eat everyday.

Had 2 lbs of ribeye after the gym today. Heavy on sea salt with butter melted in over charcoal.

What do y’all think about using Delmonico steaks as a cost effective alternative to Ribeye? The local Meijer had them out on the shelf for the first time I’ve ever seen at $6.99/lb, so I picked up a few packages. Macros seem to balance out fairly close to ribeye, but $10 less/lb. And it just so happens to be my favorite cut of steak.

Beef any cut of beef.... Our ancestors ate the whole animal in its natural proportions. Ribeye was just an example.

Our grill is old, so we are likely replacing this week or so.

Im also looking at outdoor griddles. Do you guys have a preference for cooking all your meat?

I may or may not be using this as an excuse to buy the grill and or griddle

Cook 95% on a propane grill.... Weber Summit 6 burner if it matters.

Once a week I'll braise some pot roast maybe 6lbs or so for the week.

Either he was doing it wrong or had pre-existing conditions. I’ve eaten a lot of “fatty” foods for over 15 years. I feel great, shit like I should, and bloods couldn’t be any better.

Aside from my anecdotal evidence, you’re believing the lie that most fats and cholesterol are bad for you.  When in fact, your body needs all that. What do you think your brain works off of?

The problem with taking in that much fat is when it’s oxidized. Guess what oxidizes it? Little hint: begins with “sug” and ends in “ar.”

Yeah, there are still a few diehards out there who believe meat will get trapped in the colon and rot and cause you to die or something.   Not the way our bodies work.

I tired the new electrolyte supplement today and Ho. Lee. Shit.  Night and day difference in taste.

The drops made the water taste like diluted seawater.

The Ultima mix made the water taste like watered down sugar-free lemonaid.

The only bad thing is that I have to finish the drops off and now they are going to taste even worse.

Took a break the last few days, had some broccoli Saturday with burgers, some slaw Sunday with smoked pork butt, some cabbage soup yesterday with sausage.

Back to carnivore today.

Longtime lurker reappearing here, took a break from arfcom as I was spending too much time surfing the web being a depressed fatty. Little sister joined the Marines last year and when you realize as a grown man that your baby sister has more balls than you it is a painful but much needed kick in the butt. Decided to go back to Keto and started 4-5 day fasts and dropped 200 lbs in 6 months. Decided in February that I should try eating every day again and not gonna lie, losing that much weight gave me some minor body dysmorphia which made it hard for to eat "normal" without feeling guilty. Heard about carnivore from Jordan Peterson and have always wanted to do the 30 day bacon challenge "dupemaster" did, so I started a 30 day Carnivore test on 3/7. Mainly want to see if with this diet I can eat until satisfied and maintain my weight without feeling guilty eating so much. I do have a bottomless stomach, but eating low carb always seemed to make me feel more full. Anyways so far I enjoy it and have been eating around 3k-4k kcal a day strictly meat only with eggs and butter. I'm not gonna weigh myself until after the 30 days to make sure I stick with it and not feel guilty if I see the numbers go up.
Today I had 18 eggs and 2.5 lbs of beef then went for a 2 mile walk and feel good.

Good on ya.  Personally I hate numbers when it comes to my health.  I eat meat, butter, and eggs until I am not hungry. I move/exercise daily (walking, gym, sometimes walking to the gym). I don’t watch TV (don’t own one, even) and read pretty heavily.

Changing what I consume to things my body and mind actually need has transformed me. After tightening it up the past 3-4 weeks I am already seeing the outlines of a fit, somewhat muscular dude in me pushing through what chub layers I have left.  I don’t weigh myself, and don’t care to.  It’s about how I feel and see myself, not what some scale says.

Game changer.  How I feel about myself, my discipline, motivation, worldview— all changed for the better.

Our “food” these days, processed, stockpiled, and sold to the masses is little more than sweet poison.  I am convinced of it almost to the point of pure conspiracy.

Keep going.  Eat meat, butter, and eggs.  Lift heavy shit.  Go for walks and get sunlight and fresh air.  Read biographies of great men.

It’s good times.

So most of my stuff is on the way, just need to do some grocery shopping.

My expectations of the diet are below.

-weight loss
-mental clarity/focus
-energy
-health

Im assuming from everything Ive read in here, that those are realistic expectations?

Yup.... It's hard to describe.

If you give it a solid go for 30 - 60 days you will know.

I find myself a little pissed that I spent so much of my life listening to the so called experts in regards to what we should be eating.

12 pounds since March 11, when I started. I usually weigh on Fridays, but i had to get info for an upcoming colonoscopy (another poop thread ).
My nephews wedding was Saturday and I cheated only by having a few of the buffet items, like fried fish, chicken fingers and meatballs. No sweets, no jambalaya, gumbo etc. I has 2 Patron's on the rocks with a lime wedge consumed over 4+ hours. No beer or wine. Lots of water. Funny, usually I want to get a little buzzed, but I really felt like I didn't need to to enjoy myself.  Mrs TB is not dropping the weight as fast as me, but she is losing steady. She has lost about 8 lbs so far.

The thing I notice most is lack of "brain fog". I am thinking clearer and feel more alert. My shirts are fitting better and my pants and shorts have become almost too loose.

I did my yearly physical last Wednesday. Some of my blood test numbers are not up to par, except testosterone. I don't have time to go in to it in further detail this morning, but I''m sure it's because of coming back from a 53 day vacation and I had only been on carnivore for a few days before the test. I'll update my blood work as I go.
Last night we made tuna salad and had it on The Best Stop pork skins, (cooked in hog lard.) Pot roast tonight.

A MAXIMUM total of 9 oz of LEAN meat, poultry, fish, and eggs a day.

6-11 servings of bread and pasta a day.

And wash it all down with a bottle of “healthy” vegetable oil.

new pants day!... just tried on some 36s my wife got in error for me a few years back. After wearing 40+ for a decade not only are the 36s fitting, there's room for an IWB holster AND i have to cinch my belt to keep them from falling down. All after eating a pile of steak and washing it down with kerry gold-buttered crab.

Today is day 70 for me.  I'm down 54 lbs and only 2 lbs from my goal weight.  Jeans went from 40 to 34.  Shirts from 2XL to L.

Another week maybe to get below my goal weight and then it's just maintenance.

Carnivore is the best dietary plan ever.

Meal planning for the rest of the week.
Cow tongue.
Seasoned with garlic, S&P, a bit of cumin, and some bay leaves.

:)  Never had cow tongue, maybe if they called it something else like they do with head cheese (brains).  Seriously, the meat, eggs, bacon, butter, thing works, you will be amazed.  Also definitely affects the sexual drive, no doubt about it.

I wasn't trying to lose weight, so I am still the about the same at 190 (6'1").  However I run the max trainer on 10 every day and work out with 45# dumbbells every other day and the gut and love handles have been replaced by muscle everywhere.  Protein and fat, it's pure gold.

Uncured and with no weird shit in it.   Personally if I look at ingredients in things, if I see something that wouldn’t have been available 10,000 years ago, I probably avoid it.

That’s a fairly loose principle but you get what I mean.  There is so much shit out there they put into food it’s enough to make your head spin.

I encourage you: go for the least ingredients possible.  Literally, meat, butter, eggs cannot steer you wrong.

The offerings from Costco and other club type stores seem to have the best prices. As far as what brand it doesn't really matter just look for something with as few carbs as possible some will have zero and some will have 1 or 2 per serving. In truth the ones with 1 or 2 grams of carb is fine I didn't notice any difference at all compared with the 0 carb.

I find bacon is a great tool to get your fat levels up in the beginning and to help keep you on track with a tasty treat. I rarely if ever eat bacon anymore.
