Pretty interesting.   Those trucks can haul a lot, but aren't that fast and not at all maneuverable.   Would think they'd have to be staged pretty close to where they would need to attack or they would be an easy target for any near by air support.

Seems like top attack ATGM, seriously strong anti-tank mines, or homemade EFP along the route are the only reasonable choices to defend against mining vehicle VBIEDs  .  (Assuming you're Syrian and can't get artillery or CAS).

A pristine East German MPi-KMS-72 on sale in #Sanaa #Yemen recently for 12k Saudi Riyal (Around $3,200) with original kit. These are very well regarded locally.

Fanastic presentation as usual.

That's pretty sexy for an assault pistol. Got the steampunk vibe going for it.

My son translated it for us...reads:

“spoils of war from several Russian soldiers and militia elements who fell while crossing mine fields near to Kafr Nabl”

Source appears to be some news agency calling itself the “countryside of Idlib”

M16A2 lower for ~$1500 US in Pakistan

Iraqi Army when Mosul was abandoned to Isis in 2014 left warehouses full of M16A4's, M4's, and copious quantities of 5.56. Many of the rifles were NIW. Iraqi Army discarded not only personal weaponry in the headlong dash of retreat, but also shed their uniforms attempting to blend in with civilians.

During the time of Isis in Mosul, NIW US M16A4's were obtainable on the black market for approximately $4500USD. (as well, Colt Commando's at similar costs) Considering the average Iraqi working person earned about $7USD a day for their labor, obviously not many A4's were being sold to the working men.

Initially, Isis preferred select fire AK47's, that is until 7.62x39 began to become limited in supplies, then Isis turned to the warehouses of M16's. When the battle for Mosul entered the final stages with street to street fighting, local gunsmiths attempted to cut down and shorten these A4 barrels to M4 length.

Not gonna lie, that's actually pretty impressive. I like how the original gas tube cover almost blends right in with the aesthetic.
