So...it looks like someone was dumping lubricant into that 1919 trying to unseize it.....what's the story there?  Looks like something I'd try to do.

Interesting, looks like he ran a PVS14 with a rhino/j-arm instead of Russian NV. Even has a Helstar strobe.

It cleaned up nice and even fit in the gun cradle on the truck, never did get any .30-06 to fire it.

Wait, so are they feeding 5.56 from an RPD drum (kinda cool, but needless) or did they get an RPD top cover on an M249 (which is really cool if it actually works)?

ETA - OH SHIT, now I see it, lol!  Wow, what a project; that's pretty cool, hat's off to the maker.  That's up there with the guy on Weaponsguild/Here that is turning a Goryunov kit into a fairly convincing M240B build.

Steyr Aug's. Not really that an uncommon weapon, however, about 1500 were sent by Saudi Arabia to arm anti Assad groups in Syria.

SA had the serial numbers obliterated as to remove tracing back to purchase source. Many of these Augs found their way into ISIS hands in Iraq. Specifically, Mosul. I know of one A1 which was purveyed through the black market to an anti ISIS group. Cost was approximately $4k USD.

see, see, this is why Kali classified these as "assault" weapons years ago;
had one, got the letter from Kal DOJ but thank God was moving from that shithole at the time.
sent them back letter stating "it was out of the state";
be funny if they went to my old house looking for it,,,,

It seems fairly common for Iraqi gunsmiths to dress up RPDs as Minimis.

Of the Aug I mentioned in Mosul during Isis occupation.

It was available through a black market dealer that had no familiarity with its manual of arms, and thought the rear take down pin/swivel was how the Aug selected between FA and semi. Basically, no knowledge of the Aug and the trigger at half pull being semi and all the way back for FA.

Aug internals showed much use, so the Steyr had logged some rounds.

An aside. Aug mags were not common in Mosul at the time, very hit or miss availability, and if priced less than $100USD for a factory 30 was thought a "buy now" price. Lol.

Also, HK MP5K's were not uncommon. Clean specimens commanded about $4500USD. (9mm ammo was in short supply, and when available (black market) cost was about $1USD per round.

Not super uncommon but Khybered shit is cool.  Shortened AKM with a home made short AK-74'ish brake...hand made latch for the side folder too.  And of course, Afghanistan's best weaponlight setup.

 Vietnam sent former ARVN arms to the FMLN in El Salvador and the ELN and FARC  in Colombia. Plenty of these have ended up in Mexico.

  That doesn’t in any way mean that the exact same supply routes that take drugs into the States don’t take guns purchased on the civilian market back down to Mexico.

Um..., $4500USD for a select fire MP5k. Have no idea what retail are for these in the US.

Glock 19's were issued to the Iraqi Army and National Police. I believe about 700k total in number. G19's were selling for about $2500USD in Mosul during Isis timeframe. Isis also considered anyone found to be in possession of a G19 to be affiliated with the Iraqi government, and the penalty for such was execution.

Another product, with BRRRTT option.

An interesting #Beretta 92 type pistol with #HandEngraving & gold finishing. Interesting to see a #Glock or #SmithAndWesson type barrel fitted to the #pistol which changes the system of lockup also.

Sigs, Glocks, Cz's readily available in Mosul presently. Only a matter of price... Many Turkish copies of aforementioned currently available, at lesser costs.

Another aside. When Isis came into control of Mosul, 2014, Iraqi Army fled, and abandoned warehouses stocked with US supplied weaponry. (My familiarity is limited to small arms: M16A4's, M4's, munitions, and whatever else.)

Colt Commando's were pricey. Many Isis had M4's and A4's barrels cut by local gun smiths to Commando length. ( No knowledge of functionality afterward.) M16 ammo was evidently in abundance in storage facilities, so as AK 7.62x39 supplies were exhausted, and ammo supply spotty, M16 variants became the rifle of choice.
