V8 400 horsepower 6,000 pound vehicle body on frame truck 0-60 mph 5.9 seconds, tow rating of 8,500 lbs 4wd. All mechanical issues worked out by the 2020 model year yet way cheaper than 2021s because that's when they did a model update.11inches of ground clearance after you remove the factory running boards and can fit 35s without a lift kit with no rubbing. Thease can easily be had for $30-35k on the used market while a comparable used Tahoe is still 45-50k

Huge value for $ in today's market

Agreed - a lot of value there.

Also, Land Cruiser master race checking in.

I love our 2018 Armada it's only 2wd but it hauls ass for a big SUV. Butt dyno says it's faster than my parent's ecoboosted Expedition. I love the VK56DE and the VK56VD Nissan V8s. Double overhead cams with variable valve timing. The 2017+ Armadas have direct injection and the same engine was in the 2011+ QX80. So, it's an engine that's been around for awhile now.

My wife can get 20 mpg hwy and I end up around 18 mpg.

This guy does an engine teardown of one that was abused.

OIL IS CHEAPER! Nissan Titan 5.6L V8 VK56DE Engine Teardown. I Can't Believe This Stayed Together!

Sure they’re not built in Smyrna?

I thought all the Infinity’s were Japanese built and all the Nissan’s were US or Mexican?

No they are everywhere.  If you do it I strongly recommend specifically a 2020 model 2017-2019s had a tiny chance of engine failure that was worked out by the end of 2019. 2021s are a huge increase in price compared to 2020s

Made in Japan.

Some Nissan branded models are still made in Japan.

All Nissan trucks are currently made in Mississippi along with the Altima, Murano and NV Van. I got to see the last of the XTerra roll through the paint plant. Wish it was the Murano. I hate those things.

What model?  How do you like it/how has it held up?  Just got my wife a 2020 QX60 and while we have driven Acuras for the last decade, we went with the QX this time.  Interested in any experience with Infinity SUVs (Midcap/others were very helpful in my thread).

Just to give my 12 hours of experience….everything about the QX60 seems on par with an Acura MDX, just different.  I prefer the interior of the MDX regarding wood finishes and such, but both are very well made. Handling is different but in the same class. The QX has more 3rd row room.  Also certain features are more available on one vs the other (my wife really wanted a heated steering wheel, which was much easier to find on the QX vs MDX).  Just some real world feedback for those out there contemplating Infinity/Nissan.

We bought a new 2013 Infiniti QX56 with that monster motor and awesome interior.  Still have it.  Gets 16-17 mpg.  Easily the best vehicle we’ve ever owned or traveled in.  Never had any maintenance issues.

Infiniti does have a sort of odd way of equipping vehicles

It’s like every is sort of a la carte

Bought one new in 2014, 4x4, still my daily driver with almost 140,000. Needed something big at the time, family of five doing all sorts of things. Pulled a big boat around every summer for six or seven years, many trips from Oklahoma to Colorado, Alabama beaches, Wyoming now and then. Been a good vehicle so far.

Most $12.5k trucks/suvs are way to old for a bank to allow you to get a loan for. Its fine if you have $12k cash but most people don't. I have $7,000 that I can put down on a uses vehicle and pay it off in 3 years. It would take me way way way to long to save up another $6,000 like almost a year amd in the mean time I don't have a vehicle at all
