The joys of option writing.
I'm down $225 today on 600 shares of BBIG, because I'm short 6 options contracts that are worth less than yesterday.

And, since I couldn't get what I considered decent money for MVIS options, I have 500 unencumbered shares that went up nicely today.

Up 8% and no one told us it could be the day... weird.

I"m in the same boat.  Only 100 shares @11.24.  Been down forever.  Made a few bucks on puts/calls here and there.  Since there is no news, I'm guessing it will retrace somewhat.  So instead of selling or just holding, I went ahead and sold a $10 11/19 call for $96.  We shall see how it goes. To be honest I'm tempted to buy 100 more shares and sell another since that would be almost 10% right off the bat.

Hold for profit.  Sell a call on it today.

Sell options not stock. Then if you get that dollar you will get more dollars.  

I wanted 6, hoped for 5.
And therefore I missed my fleeting chance to buy at 6.5.

Your guess is as good as mine. I'm kind of doubting that we will see any large jump. Any price around $6.5 would be good. It didn't come close to high fives like I thought. Probably not a rush to get back in today.

I want it to go up because I'm holding it and still hate its guts. I'm sitting on a Dec $12 covered call which is like a prison sentence.

You're either not looking at all or ignoring the obvious.

That is quite a thing, is it not;  pretending to be a 'financial analyst' and all you do is comment on the obvious, without spending any effort at creating anything of real value.  I can do that while I'm doing other things.

I'm not saying the price jump is justified, but it takes two seconds to realize people are interested in seeing what comes from this interview tomorrow yet they can't find any reason...  it's not just stocks,  it's everywhere.  We might have more information than ever at our fingertips, but the majority of it now is complete bullshit

Should have sold $11 calls on all my MVIS instead of just some of it.

And if anybody took my advice on buying BBIG at 6.30, well, sorry, it bottomed out at 6.31 after I said that.
Now that I've said this, it'll probably go below $6.25 in the next half hour.
