Thats what I'm trying to do, robinhood is being retarded and not letting me do transactions

ETA its back up and I'm out at 1.30, hopefully it drops to .99 again so I can pick more up

RH wouldn't let me cancel my overly optimistic trade at $2/sh, for 20 minutes. Finally got through and sold 1/2 my stake at $1.30. Not making a killing, not taking a bath. (That'd be GNUS. Grrr)

So RH is NOT always immediately responsive. Plan accordingly.

No hope for buyout news? I'm still holding but that may not be smart. Tempted to sell half.

I've been lurking.  Got in with 5000 shares at 0.94.    Just sold them at 1.34.  Nice little profit of 2000.  Thanks guys!

I think the days of sub-$1 are gone, at least for a while... hopefully forever.  Will look to buy back in at ~1.10 hopefully.  Maybe wont get a chance.  We'll see!

EDIT: just put in a limit buy order at 1.16 for a few thousand shares

They are releasing in June, but there is expectation after hours this week. Could be today or tomorrow. I am about 10k in at $5 a share. We shall see. This will be the first Phase 3 results. There is a second phase 3 announcement behind this. Maybe Q3?

One day does not a LONG dull stretch make. There's obvious enthusiasm coming off yesterday's compliance, and I expect another pop when the "official" announcement is made, but trust me when I tell you IF we go into a month(s) long protracted period of silence the speculators will drift away to chase their daily adrenaline dose elsewhere. The 'twits and 'hoods can barely focus through any given weekend.

I have $25K cash sitting in my trading account earmarked for more shares, but I'll bide my time and wait for this wave of enthusiasm to calm. If there's a serious announcement, I'll miss out on that 15K-20K worth of share's value, I still have my core holding.

I've seen things go wildly wrong with MVIS firsthand, and have learned caution. I remain optimistic they'll find a buyer, but for how much and for what part of the company remains to be seen.

Top share price during the dot.com mania was about $65 a share, IIRC. Pumpers have done all kinds of crazy math to inflate that since.

If you expect the price to decline prior to a buy out, why not sell in the $1.30-$1.50 range and buy it back at $1?

There's always a chance of a buyout announcement while it's at 1.10, and if you're not in, you lose.

At least...that's the historical model (the last re-certification was Feb 2019). Good for me, I'm still sitting on the powder I held in reserve for the compliance fight, and I'm looking for sub-dollar shares.

That's really an apples-to-oranges comparison, though. At the last re-cert, MVIS hosted the "back in business" flag and went straight back to puttering in their lab. This is more akin to holding a benign looking, but volatile, explosive. I'd guess there won't be any updates except for the mandatory quarterly, where they'll announce the revenue numbers (from the Hololens ramp up, might get a decent surprise), take two questions they'll remain absolutely noncommittal on and then shut it down. The only two real hard twists I can imagine are 1) a surprise announcement of a vertical sale...which will really put a fly in the ointment, and/or 2) a real surprise announcement of Amazon back at the table and ready to go forward with the I-D smart speaker, possibly as a partner(?). That would really confuse the situation...but also seems like a very real possibility with Covid ramping down and business lifting the rock they've been under and looking around for snacks.

Almost everyone wants the full sale for full value, and that appears to be what SS committed to, only I still don't really believe him. That probability is out there, but why the "by year's end" disclaimer? Were they just giving themselves leeway, or is that their expectation? The shorts are nothing if not incredibly persistent. They will chew like little rats, and it's stockholder equity they're eating.

If I didn't believe this won't pay, I wouldn't be upping my stake, but I'm a very patient investor. It will, however, quickly glaze over the eyes of the 'twits and the 'hoods who are always looking for that next big thing. When they move on the balloon will deflate down. Whatever is in store, my big hope right now is it doesn't take to November to get there.

Yeah I agree with what you said.

On Stocktwits there is the almighty ted who claims that there will be big news tomorrow or Monday.  Claims to have some inside source at MVIS.  We will see he will either prove out to be a fraud or real.  Either way we will see, not banking my Hope's on it.

I think we are looking at a flattening as RH investors get bored and then one day bam.  Frozen.

I sold GNUS today and added some more MVIS premarket.  We will see what happens.  I just hope that Craig Hallum being in the mix and the clear comments from the CEO they are pursuing a sale is the difference this time that might keep it up.

To summarize this mess.....I don't know anything at all and am about to be rich or disappointed beyond belief.

My limit order triggered at 1.35. Looks like 1.36 was the high before it pulled back to 1.29. It was a nice ride but it's time to pay a little more debt off and buy a house. OP, thanks again for the tip. It was a great one!

Oh, I know, just yanking your chain. The timing was perfect for it. I may consider selling a bit for profit now and buying back in later at under a buck if it heads that way. Or, I may just put in a sell order for $15/share and wait for my phone to buzz.

I should have, too, but knew nothing about it. May I ask where you found the advice to buy when you did? I'd like to be the bagman instead of the bag holder in the future.
