Swore I wouldn't, but took a minute to read some of the reaction on WSB. They're running to the guns, again, just hope they stick a little more firmly this time when the counter-attacks come.
Did read one comment somebody should send to Cramer..."It's not a MEMES stock, it's a MEMS stock". Clever. Nvrmd, he wouldn't understand it. |

Are we hitting resistance @ $25? Seems to keep going up to there and bouncing back down to the high $24s.

Looks like it's triggering sell orders every time it bumps against 25. Probably quite a few to chew through.

The way I see it, if I was to lose all in my account, it wouldn't change my life. If I was to sell today, I could buy some NODS and a really nice trip to Colombia, but it wouldn't be enough to cover the divorce, rehab, and antibiotics that followed. I'll risk staying in to maybe make life changing money. At least enough for the post trip recovery items. |

Even if it sells at the 27.50 and goes higher my cost is about 7 bucks a share, so its 300% profit. I also actually started in this thread when it was lower. I have sold and rebought a few times. I think my initial investment was 200 total. So it would still be a 1300 buck or so profit.

Well, since I got flagged as a day trader the other day, guess I'll run with it for a while.
I'm over here in and out of 100-1000 share MVIS, RIOT, and VISL trades for small percentages and getting "flagged" while market manipulators freely FU the SEC for billions. Attached File |

I didn't run afoul, my account is above the minimum; I can continue to buy and sell, just need to keep my account above 25K, otherwise I get restricted. Once the MVIS saga comes to an acceptable (to me) conclusion, I'll probably close my TD account down and open a new one with a different broker. We're supposed to be getting information soon from our new retirement account manager here at work about what trading platforms they have integrated into their website. So it's possible I'll be able to see all of my investments from one screen. |

View Quote Pattern Day Trader (PDT) is an SEC thing. Just means that you have a margin account and executed three or more day trades (open and closed a position in the same security on the same day) in a five trading day period. If you do that, the SEC requires that you have a minimum of $25k in marginable equity in the account to continue trading, otherwise your account is restricted to liquidations until you bring your account above that minimum threshold. Most brokers will give you a one time reversal of the PDT flag (it's automatic in their systems to flag your account if you meet the above trading criteria), after that it's permanent, and your options are to remove the margin feature or bring in the additional equity. If you're going to be day trading, the PDT coding gives you some additional leverage for day trades (usually 4X equity, where standard Reg T initial equity is 50%), and which replenishes as you exit positions. So if you want to lever up for day trades/not hold things over night, that's one way to do it. For most folks, the $25k equity is the major hurdle. If you have more than that, you'll probably never notice a difference. |

Sliding up slightly even with NASDAQ going down. Feels like a tipping point as shorts return huge blocks of shares.

I do keep an eye on the amount shown under 'available funds for trading', sometimes but I've never noticed any day trading complications. I also have TDAmeritrade and think their platform is awesome. I have 2 cash accounts, my ROTH and my wife's IRA there, all linked together so maybe they give me a pass. |
