For a cold sandwich, Miracle Whip.

For a hot sandwich, Head Country BBQ sauce.

I'm a big fan of pimento pickle loaf, but enjoy mortadela more than any other bologna based sandwich meat.

Wonder bread, american "cheese", and miracle whip.

This particular sammy is the only time I would use wonder bread or miracle whip for anything.

Havent had this combo in 25+ yrs.

For me if a sandwich has meat, it has to have mustard.  Mayo and meat do not mix.

Mayo and a little Vidalia onion.

Besides the meat to bread ratio and orientation, what real difference is there between a bologna sandwich and a hot dog? Since the answer is "nothing", why couldn't any appetizing hot dog topping not be acceptable?

Butter on the outside of the bread and then grill it like a grill cheese.

But if it must be a poll option, mustard.

I sometimes stand back a little way and people watch individuals who select bologna from the cold meat area and my stereotyping is usually about 95% accurate.

We eat quite healthily. Home made casseroles made with home made roux or sauces, no Campbell's soup. Lots of dishes made with 90-93% lean burger my dad and I grind. Stews. Home made soups. Roasts and pot roasts. Chops. Roasted chicken, chicken dishes. Lots of roasted fresh veggies and steamed veggies, from the freezer. Salads...Lots of salads, with possibly radishes, cucumbers, avocado, tomato, olives, carrots, red cabbage, green onions, romaine or leaf lettuce, no ice berg, unless my wife buys a bag of washed salad occasionally. My dressing choice is EVO and red wine vinegar. Or home made ranch.
Albacore tuna in water sandwiches, ham sandwiches, turkey sandwiches,...Cheese, lots of cheese. Probably 6 or 7 kinds in the fridge right now.

We have bought beef baloney for fried baloney sandwiches 3-4 times in the last year. Before that, it had been ages. We don't live on it.

Maybe it's a nostalgia thing lately.

I voted mustard but every once and a while I'll buy some Kraft sandwich spread to put on a bologna sandwich. Brings back childhood memories, it was my dad's favorite.

White bread, yellow mustard, cheap processed cheese. Right out of the cooler on a hot day in the sun. Only thing to make it better is a fat slice of fresh tomato, seasoned with S&P from the drive-thru packets you find in every glovebox or center console of a work truck or fishing boat.

Washed down with anything from fresh spring water, gatorade, coke, or a cold beer.

Pimento cheese is also good. I can see ketchup because bologna is a hot dog in a different form.

The proper answer here is bologna, deli mustard, potato bread, with sour cream and onion chips. Everything else is bullshit.

The cheese of low enough quality to match well with bologna is probably toxic.  Eject altogether on this heinous concoction.

I'm not above a bologna sandwich on white bread.  A little mayo and a little mustard, on the same side so they mix together.

Most of the bologna I eat nowadays is in ring form, and pickled.

Think of it as a slice of a giant hot dog. Growing up, we would slice it thin and simmer a bunch of it in BBQ sauce with some chopped onion and put on a bun. Cheese was optional but I preferred Swiss.

First I get rid of the cheese, then I get rid of the bologna, and then I put some tuna and mayo and onion in there.

Sometimes I'll skip the onion and tuna and use lettuce and ham instead.
