There’s a difference between wanting to cancel something and not wanting to give your hard earned money to it. I don’t want the government to shut down Nike or the NBA but they certainly aren’t getting a penny from me.
The left wants something they don’t like censored or removed completely. There is nothing wrong with boycotting companies that work against your values. |

I go to a place that sells BLM and 'every one is welcome here' signs. They got such damned good food. I don't think I'd ever deny someone business because of political beliefs if they put out a superior product. It's fun people watching the liberals. Once I overheard a group of ladies saying that a pro 2A group followed their FB gun control page and they were thinking of calling the police over it.

Straw man. No one on the right (or left) is saying "because I said so". On the right, we are saying that if a company chooses to enter the political or cultural arena (as they so often do to chase extra profit or advance an agenda) then we will reward or punish them based on the position they adopt.
This is not only reasonable, it is what those companies seemingly want. They want to be recognized and rewarded for their political and cultural positions. Gillette didn't make an advertisement denigrating men -- and particularly white men -- because they wanted people to ignore it. The only point of the commercial was to get attention for their political posture. Would you have us disappoint them? |

Cancel culture is the act of attacking an individual, to deprive them of work and the ability to work.
Boycott is the act of not purchasing a product based on a decision to not support that company or products message. If I try to make sure you never work again for what you said. That is cancel culture. If I don’t want to buy a Gillett razor because they support feminism. That is a boycott. |
