Tuscany, Italy. I can easily see myself spending two months a year there, once I am rich

Western North Carolina mountains in the summer, New Smyrna Beach in the winter.

St Lucia.
Beaches are nice and Piton beer is the best I’ve ever had but no place will Import it |

Florida's gulf coast. I'd even settle for some of the crummier areas. If it weren't for my job I'd probably move there. I know FL can be a shitshow at times but the weather is awesome and it seems like everyone is always out doing stuff.

There is a small set of homes just south of the Jackson Hole Airport. One of my uncle's had a house there. Amazing place.

Probably Cortona or Siena Italy, or rather the countryside around there. Perhaps something on the shores of Lake Trasimeno.

Eastern Kentucky, SouthWest Virginia specifically Grayson County, Shenandoah County, VA, Outside of Asheville, NC there’s some heavy Christian homesteader communities where friends live that I would fit into.

There's lots of wonderful places in this world if you have the money.
In the US, I really like central OR, southern UT, Central CO, and most of the coastlines. I really enjoyed the Netherlands, Australia, Romania, Italy, Germany too. I'd love to see more of central/south America but I feel like it's too risky at the moment, maybe when my kids are grown. The little town my grandparents were born in on the Freisian coast in the Netherlands is probably my top spot, but I saw places in eastern Europe just as nice for way less money. |

I mean, if I was super-rich, it would be really nice to own a summer house on the northwest coast of Zealand in Denmark, and just spend a month there every July.

|
If I had the money, a summer home in Cody, WY.
And, a winter home on Perdido Key in FL. |

Id never leave geunju, SK if I didn't have to. I've applied at every job I've seen there since I visited.

Panama as in the Panama Canal. The country outside of the city is beautiful.

A little south of Rome Italy, maybe on the Mediterranean side?

Geneva - love the city, culture, and weather. Expensive area to live in, but, we have family there (wifes side)
Oundle/Cotterstock England - small town/village I lived in and went to school as a tweener and teen. There are not a lot of jobs that I would qualify for there, that I know of, so it would have to be post retirement. Panama - in the Penonome area or Rio Hato area. Cost of living would be no problem, travel to see family for both the wife and I could get expensive. Barcelona - beautiful city and area, I cannot think of any true drawbacks besides damn tourists. Cost of living as an ex-pat is fairly good. That being said, we will probably stay in Oklahoma as the kids and grand-kids are here. Dreams ans fantasy plans are fun though. |

Quoted: no experience with nigeria, but in Iraq i worked with loads of Ugandan security guys. they were the happiest / most friendly people i have ever been around, id like to think many of their towns / villages would be the same and treat you like a favorite uncle. View Quote |

If I was rich...hmm, A place here, a place in the tropics, a place in Nevada, and the rest of the time I would be b-bopping around everywhere that looked interesting world wide...

North shore of Kauai. Been there twice and love it but being one of the poors (retired cop), just can’t afford it with still having kids at home.
