Seconded. A hobby farm and enough acreage in the Cotswolds to do some pheasant shooting would be my first choice, and a small summer retreat in the Swiss Alps would set me up just fine.

Yes.  I spend some time in Ponce Inlet every summer.  The fishing is good.  Outside of Asheville, western NC is pretty nice

Florida's gulf coast. I'd even settle for some of the crummier areas. If it weren't for my job I'd probably move there. I know FL can be a shitshow at times but the weather is awesome and it seems like everyone is always out doing stuff.

There is a small set of homes just south of the Jackson Hole Airport.  One of my uncle's had a house there.  Amazing place.

Probably Cortona or Siena Italy, or rather the countryside around there. Perhaps something on the shores of Lake Trasimeno.

Naples

Shooting, paddling, fishing, boating, tinkering all DAY with drinking and screwing well into the night. Rinse and repeat.

The 10,000 islands, the Everglades, Palm trees.

I've got 5 acres I am building my compound on.

There's lots of wonderful places in this world if you have the money.

In the US, I really like central OR, southern UT, Central CO, and most of the coastlines.

I really enjoyed the Netherlands, Australia, Romania, Italy, Germany too.

I'd love to see more of central/south America but I feel like it's too risky at the moment, maybe when my kids are grown.

The little town my grandparents were born in on the Freisian coast in the Netherlands is probably my top spot, but I saw places in eastern Europe just as nice for way less money.

Let’s be room mates!  I went there just over 3 years ago.  It’s the only place I have been and said I could give up all worldly possessions and live in a grass hut like Gillian.

Geneva - love the city, culture, and weather. Expensive area to live in, but, we have family there (wifes side)

Oundle/Cotterstock England - small town/village I lived in and went to school as a tweener and teen. There are not a lot of jobs that I would qualify for there, that I know of, so it would have to be post retirement.

Panama - in the Penonome area or Rio Hato area. Cost of living would be no problem, travel to see family for both the wife and I could get expensive.

Barcelona - beautiful city and area, I cannot think of any true drawbacks besides damn tourists. Cost of living as an ex-pat is fairly good.

That being said, we will probably stay in Oklahoma as the kids and grand-kids are here.

Dreams ans fantasy plans are fun though.

Yeah,  I liked the big island too. Even Oahu once you got away from the city. As bad as their gun laws are, they're kind of quirky. If you bring Guns into the state (moving in) you just have to register them within a few days but you can pretty much have whatever you want. The concealed weapons permits are not happening at least until the court case it's in process gets through the courts. But what I did find interesting is if you fly on the island Hoppers, not out of the main terminal, you don't even have to go through a metal detector!
I live in Florida by choice,  I had the kind of career that I could live anywhere,  even out of the country.  (Merchant Marine) .
I like the BVI except that you have no place to run when a hurricane comes. Queensland Australia is a favorite of mine too.
You might notice a pattern here, I like places with palm trees and beaches.
