Which is absolute bullcrap because the whole point of that encounter was supposed to be how kingly and chivalrous Estel (aka "Aragorn") was, even when facing sneering insults and looming death. His enemies were surprised he didn't resort to violence; him cutting the dude's head off was completely against character and one of the worse changes made.

Just watched that movie last night.  Didn’t know it was an anthology, so I was NOT expecting that.

Yes. Was cut from the theatrical version, because the whole scene was pointless.

I wasn't shocked when it happened. The shock was when the credits rolled, and it was, "What? I've been waiting this whole friggin time for some kind of miraculous comeback, for him to save the day... that's really it? He died?"

That one was pretty surprising. On a related note, Ben Kingsley died pretty fast in Self/Less, which also has Ryan Reynolds. It's a pretty underrated movie.

Two Big "A" Name actors together in total of only about 5 minutes of actual screen time.

Also G.I. Joe "Retaliation". the "Stars" are all wiped out in first few minutes of the film by COBRA

Piter De Vries in the new Dune adaptation. If you didn't know who he was from the book, you wouldn't know who he was when he died. His character is very interesting, the David Lynch version hinted at it.
