It's interesting how that happens.

I know a guy that sold everything when he retired, cleaned his shop out completely.

He said he didn't want to be tempted to do anything stupid.....like working, so if all his tools were gone he wouldn't be able to.

it does some cool things around scaling and avoiding copying data, and coming on now integrating python with the database, but for the most part in how we're using it, it's just another dialect of sql.

I carry a pair of Knipex Cobras, a Pliers Wrench and a Leatherman Wingman every day. Those get used quite a bit, along with my pocket flashlight.

If I’m opening up my toolbox it’s usually for my Milwaukee M18 angle grinder or 3/8 impact. Lately I’ve been using the filter wrench a lot too.

ETA: angle grinder is probably my favorite at the moment. It saves me a lot of work. 95% of the time I’ve got a cutoff wheel on it.

I spent a bunch of hours in the last 6 months building a greenhouse. I drove hundreds of self drilling metal screws and then built 20+ benches that required hundreds of 3” deck screws.
My Dewalt impact driver got a heck of a workout. I also bought an Evolution Power Tools 14 in. Steel Cutting Chop Saw that made cutting all the steel tubing very easy. It also cut PVC and wood.

Low voltage guy here. My 3 most used (aside from electrical tape and zip ties):

DeWalt 20V 1/4” Impact Driver

Irwin Vise Grip 8” Wire Strippers/Cutter

Whichever precision screwdriver is in my pocket. I’ve broken several Klein ones lately, so now it’s usually either a Wiha or one from a dollar bin at the hardware shop.

My favorite:

Toss up between the DeWalt rotary hammer and Dremel. Both are huge time savers depending on what’s going on.

The brain is the most critical. Without it you can't convince women to let you use your penis on them.
