Neither. I’ve spent enough time with an MP5 and the MP5PDW to not want one.

Smaller one is what my mind tells me, but I would really have to shoot them first to check the fun factor.

I have yet to shoot a K but really like the cheek weld you can get with the fixed stock of the full size. Even the B&T stock for the full size isn’t as comfortable which makes me think the K is going to not feel as good.

Mp5 K.  With stock….  Does everything mp5 does, but more compact.

I have both.  I guess it depends on how you want to use it, if you're going to use a red dot sight, and if you're planning on suppressing it.

Both are more fun than the feds think you should have.  Both mine are SBRs.

Here are some "K" pics (not mine) with the Safety Harbor stock -- very compact when collapsed, the stock bars remind me of an M3 Grease Gun or Daewoo K1.  I sold my solid-functional bulky B&T folder -- the Safety Harbor is how it should have been designed:

I love my B&T folder. Don’t think I’d ever sell it, but that stock…. So sweet.

It’s a 9mm with hardly any recoil… cheek weld ain’t that important.

Thinking about picking up a Century Arms imported MP 5 clone made in Turkey.  Shop has the MP5K clone with threaded barrel, side folding brace and a shield rds.  They also have the full size MP5 clone same set up, side folding brace Shield rds.   They are the same price.   Which model would you go for?  I can't purchase both.

semi-auto clone

You've failed from first principles, so buy whatever make-believe repro toy you want, I guess.

Well I have them all, and if I were keeping one it's the full size 9mm MP5-N.  And it's not really close.  Smoother shooting, works suppressed/unsuppressed, full auto/semi without any changes.  I like the stock options better, it's more ergonomic.   I think it's a little quieter than the K but that is subjective.
The K is cool, but I shoot it the least.  Great for concealing, but who is doing that?

Full size.  I fired the selective fire version MP-5k in Germany and didn't like it at all.

It's about the ease of a snap sight picture for me.  With a A2 on a full size, I can't help but get a perfect sight picture the second I raise the gun.

The other thing to point out about the K, the iron sights are not nearly as usefull imo.  The sight radius is just too short for diopters.

Go with the K. Afterwards, save up the cash and get a full size.

POF SMG. Reverse stretch.

Comes off the same assembly lines as the wartested machine gun version. Just barely "deballed" full auto.

If you want to shoot suppressed, with a stock, using heavy subs then it will let you use the LP that comes in it. The K may or may not. You'll also get a little more MV out of it which may be good. Both shoot great with a can or without, but it seems the full size is a little quieter maybe and also a little more smooth which is probably due to the extra mass. Neither one is difficult to control at all.
As said, the full sized does balance/feel a little better. That being said, I love my K and it is an absolute blast.
I went with the K first, then got the full sized.

The K doesn't fit the wide variety of stocks that fit the full size MP5. That's why I prefer the reverse stretch,  you can use any stock or pistol brace on it that the full size MP5 uses.

Reverse stretch K is the answer you seek.  Make sure it has the tri-lug.

There is no reason to buy an MP5 other than fun and cool factor.  Therefore, pick the one you like the looks of best.  For me, it would be the Die Hard model (A3?).

The K-N is probably my favorite firearm. So pleasant to shoot. Be wary of heading down a road of addiction….pic does not include the -51 clone, full size -91, -93, CETME-C….

I decided to go with the full size model. I just want one for old time sake.  I used all configurations of the MP5, the MP5SD3, MP5K, PDW etc.during my 20+ years in the military.  Here is a picture of the MP5SD3 I used for a  couple of years.

I'd go standard Mp5 size. More pleasant to shoot. I only like the Mp5K with a vertical foregrip. But you'd have to SBR it to get that.
