So, Attack on Titan. I watched season 1 as it aired, and it was awesome. I watched season 2 after it was all out, binged through it, and I didn't really know what was going on. I don't remember either of those at all any more, so obviously I picked this moment to start season 3.
ETA: my only problem with them is that so much time has passed between season 1 and the rest that I didn't remember it well enough. I'm so lost, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to rewatch it all to get back on track. Mostly though, wtf is wrong with the main theme song in season 3? I've been watching simply out of curiosity but some scenes have been genuinely funny. Especially this one in the most recent episode.

This might be controversial. I've been watching Seis Manos, and I like it. It feels like anime. Same thing with Castlevania, it was really good and felt like anime, and apparently there is a season 3 eventually which is good.

I finally watched Gundam 00 The Movie for the first time after re-watching the whole series - the first ever Gundam series I watched as a kid, and still pretty damn good imho, and... (spoiler alert)
What a load of fucking shit was that? What was the point to include new interesting characters and have them killed after a half hour? What was the point in having Feldt developing feelings for Setsuna or introducing charas like Mina out of the blue (yeah, I know there was a manga, but still), or the lazy and rushed writing about the ELS, or the lack of a proper closure for the main characters? I felt like I was watching the last episode of Darling in the Franxx all over again. Fuck this movie, wasted 2 hours on it, and almost ruined my favorite non-UC saga. Rant over

I watched My Neighbor Totoro with my kids tonight. It's a fun kids' movie (not heavy on plot, but a nice watch nonetheless). The kids loved it.

I just got back. I loved it. Glad I went to see it instead of waiting for it to be released on one of the streaming sites. A lot of one off anime
movies that are based on tv runs are kind of meh. They really pulled out all the stops. Theater in cda was packed full of north idaho weebs.
I hope it does well and we get more konosuba. |
