I finally finished Overlord III.
Seasons II and III were boring as shit through most of the first half, but the character and world building were important enough to watch. On the surface, it seems like MC is a megalomaniacal, psychotic asshole. Upon closer inspection, most of the people he kills are shit anyway. The more I think about it over the last couple of hours, the more I conclude that the series is great. It's probably the darkest content I've ever watched and enjoyed. That's saying a lot, because I've been entertained by some pretty dark content. Some of the shit he does to people is exactly the spirit of that Randy Savage meme I've been seeing around. |
