History indicates that Conservative Americans only have three speeds: silence, peaceful protest rallies, and Total Industrialized Warfare. They excel at the latter.

Wouldn't surprise me if there was an older show that also had a loli vampire. |

Angel cop's a fun classic also. I wouldn't say it's fantastic, but that and gunsmith cats are some vintage oriental gun porn. |

View Quote Haganai (in terms of literal laugh out loud moments per 20 minute episode it is the funniest anime I've ever seen) Date A Live (the MC has the best harem in anime history with nothing else even close) Overlord (an oringal take on the Isekai genre with the main characters being THE evil bad guys) KonoSuba (another oringal take on the Isekai genre. Same creator as Combatants Will Be Dispatched with a similar vibe) Hunter x Hunter (the first 3 or so episodes are a little Saturday morning cartoonish, but it changes tones and ends being a top 5 all time anime, IMO) Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (another top 5 all time anime, but make sure you watch Brotherhood) Demon Slayer (arguably the best non-comedy anime out right now) One Punch Man (the type of anime where even non-anime fans seem to enjoy it) |

Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town? Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious How Not to Summon a Demon Lord The Executioner and Her Way of Life Skeleton Knight in Another World Don't Hurt Me, My Healer! Is This A Zombie? Mieruko-chan Grimoire of Zero Goblin Slayer Gleipnir There are so many others I'd like to recommend, but these are some of my absolute favorites. |

You guys really deliver lol, once I finish Trigun I'll probably start on Date A Live.
I have already seen Overlord S1-S3, waiting for all of S4 before I watch it. Combatants Will Be Dispatched had me dying of laughter. Gunsmith Cats wasn't bad, the indoor M60 was great. 91 Days was 91 Days. Kill la Kill made me laugh a bit. I don't see the appeal of Trigun, but I just started it. ETA: ok, starting to see the appeal of Trigun. |

The voice acting is on par with past seasons, but some of the translations were needlessly changed and I'm not sure why. For example: in the sub Shalltear tells Aura that Aura is her superior ON THIS MISSION. In the dub she simply says Aura is her superior. That's a pretty big difference. Also in the sub Ainz says Shalltear is THE most powerful floor guardian. In the dub he says she is ONE of the strongest floor guardians. View Quote I'd say cowboy bebop is one of the best dubs out there but occasionally even in bebop there is a weird exaggeration of grunts/cries/words or odd emphasis that stretch out the words to match the lip movements. |

I just really started getting into anime this (have watched some here and there over the years). One of the things it has led me to is reading a lot more. If I like the anime enough I'll usually pic up the original LN (preferable) or manga.
It's kinda funny reading LNs since most of them are around 170-200 pages yet you don't feel like they're shorting you on story or character development. I think it's because there doesn't seem to be a lot of descriptive filler to pad things out.. I just watched I Want to Eat Your Pancreas and then bought and read the book. The movie is pretty faithful to the book with a few minor changes but, the book get's you into the head of the MC a lot more including a lot more of what was written in Sakura's diary. Other series that I've really gotten into are 86 and Rascal Does Not Dream Of.... |

Lycoris Recoil is a bit of a dog’s breakfast - some decent pistol gunplay by Chisato (but with rubber bullets) and by Takina (with real bullets and a suppressor) - along with occasional flashes of inspired humor (such as the bomb defusing scene where at first the clients don’t want to pay up, and Takina’s creation of her first dessert recipe where she doesn’t realize that everyone else thinks it looks like a freshly-dumped, hot, steaming pile of shit), mixed in between lots of slice-of-life storytelling and character development that rapidly shifts back and forth into secret-agent intrigue where it’s not always clear who ‘the good guys’ and ‘the bad guys’ are - with a flashback here and a bit of foreshadowing there - with a motley crew of characters and personalities, including the occasional robot servants and artificial life forms, and it’s all happening too fast for me to remember what the plot is supposed to be or to understand where it’s all going.
But I absolutely do find it entertaining, even if it is somewhat confusing at times. |
