God, I hate Emilia. She's right up there with black walnuts and Philadelphia. I just straight up don't like her. |

However, based on what I've seen, the majority of the hate Emilia gets is a result of Subaru simping hardcore for her which, IMO, shouldn’t be her fault. But, yeah, I’m not a fan of hers regardless. |

I was watching MF Ghost Season 2 E14 when they went to the restaurant in Enoshima to eat Shirasudon. I thought.. man that place looks awful familiar! Ends up I ate the exact same thing at the exact same restaurant when I was in Enoshima! I woke up stupid early and took the train from Takadanobaba to Fujisawa and then to Enoshima that morning. I was originally planning on eating at this place on a hill overlooking the ocean but for whatever reason I wasn't hungry at lunch, I walked down the hill and then as I was leaving I was suddenly ravenous. I saw some restaurants and turned right before the bridge back across the ocean and found this place. They had a picture of this dish and it drew me in along with the promise of milk tea on this stupid hot day. It was one of my favorite meals while I was in Japan and was really cool to see it animated.

Very mild and fresh tasting, I remember preferring the boiled shirasu over the raw, IIRC it was a little more flavored but from what I understand I'm somewhat in the minority and many people prefer the raw. All the fish I had in Japan was super fresh with little to no fishy taste at all, even the salmon onigiri at the 7-11 blew me away, if you can get salmon that high quality in Idaho I haven't seen it before and this was at the 7-11. The only things I didn't love were the Takoyaki, I tried 3 different types and the salt flavored from Osaha were the best but I still didn't love them and the whelk... whelk was just nasty, whelk was the one thing I'll never try again. |
