Quoted: So you don't believe in the one in a million happenings, right? Nobody ever gets struck by lightning twice or wins 3 lotteries.......... View Quote Those things actually happen pretty often. Look for articles. Nothing is that rare when the numbers get big enough. Look at the body of evidence. My wife teaches kids with severe disabilities. You know what every kid she ever had that was deaf and blind from a young age couldn't do? Communicate. Beyond extremely simple things. Certainly not give 2 hour long speeches about socialism all while supposedly spelling it out letter for letter in someone’s hand. |

Someone who is blind or deaf or mute, these days will have it difficult. Back in the time that keller was around the technology didnt exist to make life easier.
All 3 of those these days and youre doomed like a vegetable confined to a bed. Being deaf and blind is still a lot harder, learning to communicate is going to be damn near impossible if the disability starts off before you learn how to speak or sign. Even this link https://www.google.com/amp/s/time.com/5918660/helen-keller-disability-history/%3famp=true You can't teach a blind person to lip read or use sign language because they cant see what is being spelled or spoken. |

Fuckin weird right? Also it's mildly entertaining and worth a listen, unless it'll distract you from your hallmark holiday movie. SOOOO
AND HERE WE GO!!! My grandmother told me this along with a few other people in other families that owned property that Berry had bought from them. What she would do is go out into the hill the country folk and talk to them and be all friendly. Then she would take pictures of them. Make them feel all proud and happy. Then she would travel up north to visit her yankee friends some of which were big industry tycoons and such. Show them pictures of the poor heathen children and their backwards ass parents and family and tell them "I need help educating these poor wretched heathen children because their parents aren't capable of it". The pictures were always when the kids were outside for the whole day playing and helping out on the farms. Well you know what happens when your a kid and play outside all day. YEP you get dirty. Especially in the south in the Later Summer when its dry and HOT and Very little rain. HOT and dusty and sweaty kids equal dirty faced little heathen children. Come back with loads of cash and go around buying up land form the poor heathen childrens parents and tell them i'm building a school. Supposedly she didn't do all the buying some others would help. Then she set up the school. Their is a reason one of the biggest buildings on campus has FORD on it. Supposedly her and Henry Ford were a thing. Eh who cares some chick fucked some old man. Happens every day. Anna Nicole married for love I am told. YES in the beginning she did good. BUT now Berry College is one of the single most expensive schools south of the Mason Dixon Line and East of the Mississippi to attend. My grandmother hated that woman. WITH A PASSION!! Family would fight over which side of the car to ride in so that got to put there back to the entrance of the campus when they drove past there. Got to go BUT will return soon to tell my tell my personal story of which I remember in flashes and some of which my mom told me what I said when I was either 9 or 10 Cant really remember the age because mom didn't say |

Look, I don’t know one way or the other but you could teach a person basic communications and build from there using other methods to build larger vocabulary and understanding. Colors and sounds would be almost impossible unless they could be felt (sounds like drums or firearms).
So it is possible, to what extent? I have no idea but I’m sure you could surpass the retarded level. (Sign wind while blowing in the face) (touch the face and sign face) Letters would build on other words they may not know and can probably convey other letters or sounds through touch or feeling the face. Not too far fetched to think stories are manipulated to morph the public into believing in miracles though. They may have really needed it back then. |
